Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) from a wireless network to estimate frequency and timing errors. The UE receives a quasi co-location (QCL) configuration between a synchronization signal block (SSB) and at least one of a further SSB or a tracking reference signal (TRS), receives the SSB and the at least one of the further SSB or the TRS and estimates a frequency and timing error for the SSB by combining, based on the QCL configuration, measurements for the SSB and measurements for the at least one of the further SSB or the TRS.

Abstract: Described are approaches to multi-cell PUSCH/PDSCH scheduling with a single DCI (downlink control information) in a wireless communication system. In one approach, only one component carrier is configured with the multi-cell scheduling DCIs, with no DCI configured on the other component carriers. In a second approach, all of the component carriers can be configured with the multi-cell scheduling DCIs. In a third option, one component carrier is configured with multi-cell scheduling DCI only, while the other component carriers can be configured with the legacy single-cell scheduling DCIs. In a fourth option, one component carrier is configured with both multi-cell scheduling DCIs and the legacy single-cell scheduling DCIs, while the other component carriers can be configured with the legacy single-cell scheduling DCIs. In the fifth option, all the component carriers can be configured with both multi-cell scheduling DCIs and the legacy single-cell scheduling DCIs. In addition, dropping rules are described for the situations of overbooking, i.e., when the number of PDCCH candidates exceeds the capabilities of the user equipment (UE). Potential dropping rules include following the legacy procedure, and providing higher priority to candidates with user-specific search spaces with multi-cell scheduling DCIs. Also described is the impact on DCI formats to accommodate single-cell and multi-cell scheduling DCIs on the same component carrier. Finally, limits on the number and sizes of the DCIs are described.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for simultaneous multiple secondary cell (SCell) fast activation in a wireless communications system. Abstract: An approach is described for a dynamic off period of a base station within a wireless communication environment and a process for notifying a UE of the same. In a first scenario, the DCI message is modified with newly-defined values indicative of the different power saving states (i.e., “dynamic off states”) of the base station. These power saving states may defined as suspending one or both of downlink transmission and uplink reception. In another scenario, a new notification message is defined. In either case, the notification signal may also include cell and/or beam specific parameters as well as an application delay that defines a start time of the dynamic off period.

Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing channel state information (CSI) reporting that includes a stale CSI report. Based at least in part on a CSI reporting configuration, a user equipment (UE) performs CSI measurements during a current reference time period, and generates one or more CSI reports including at least a stale CSI report. A stale CSI report is generated based at least in part on CSI measurements performed prior to the current reference time period. Abstract: Some embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for radio resource management (RRM) scaling factor enhancement without measurement gaps (MGs) in an E-UTRA-New Radio (NR) Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) network. Some embodiments include combining counts of NR MO without MG at a same frequency. Some embodiments include coordination between the PN and the SN so that MOs without MG at a common frequency satisfy the merging rule.

Abstract: A next generation evolved Node B (gNB) configured to provide an unlicensed bandwidth for communications with a user equipment (UE) performs a listen-before-talk procedure to determine an occupation state of busy or idle for the unlicensed bandwidth. When the occupation state is determined by the gNB to be idle, the gNB signals the UE, via a downlink control indicator (DCI), to conduct a channel access measurement (CAM) on the unlicensed bandwidth, the measurement comprising at least one of an energy detection measurement or a signal quality measurement. Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to determining which instance of control information is to be used for transmitter beam selection. A user equipment may receive a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that includes first control information associated with transmitter beam selection, transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) to the network in response to receiving the MAC CE and receive a downlink signal over a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) that schedules an uplink transmission. The downlink signal is received prior to an expiration of a predetermined duration relative to transmitting the ACK and includes second control information associated with transmitter beam selection. The UE may also transmit an uplink signal based on the scheduled uplink transmission. The UE selects a transmitter beam for the uplink signal based on one of the first control information or the second control information.
