    摘要: A control valve assembly for use in a wellbore includes a body having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. A portion of the body is formed from magnetic material. A plunger is mounted within the body. A portion of the plunger is formed from a magnetic material. A magnetic circuit having a gap is defined within the control valve assembly. The portion of the body formed from magnetic material defines a first portion of the magnetic circuit and the portion of the plunger formed from magnetic material forms another portion of the magnetic circuit. A solenoid is mounted at the body. The solenoid is selectively activated to create a magnetic field across the gap in the magnetic circuit. The magnetic field causes the plunger to shift, narrowing the gap disengaging from the one of the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet to produce a pressure pulse in the wellbore.

The methods and systems include conveying a drilling tool into a bore and operating the drilling tool to drill in a direction, creating, with an azimuthal sensing device, a first signal at a first time and a second signal at a second time, wherein each of the first signal and the second signal are indicative of the direction of the drilling tool, and each of the first signal and the second signal are affected by at least one of an unknown but substantially constant offset error or an unknown but substantially constant scale factor error, comparing the first signal with the second signal, and adjusting the drilling direction based on the comparison of the first signal with the second signal.

A dampener operatively connected to the closure member resists a force applied to the closure member. A fluid seal is formed when the biasing member presses the closure member against the sealing member. The closure member and sealing member may cooperate to control fluid flow along a fluid conduit formed in a wellbore tubular. The apparatus may include an actuator that controls the force applied to the closure member. The actuator may adjust the biasing force, and/or the dampening force. Also, a controller control the actuator may be responsive to a signal generated at a surface location, a downhole location, and/or a signal generated by a sensor.

    摘要: A multi-channel coil array for use as a transceiver in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has a plurality of radio frequency (RF) coils disposed next to one another, devices for electromagnetically decoupling the RF coils and coil elements which are applied onto a planar carrier element (5). The carrier elements (5) have a regular, equilateral polygonal outer contour and the shape of the individual coils (2) corresponds to the outer contour of the carrier element (5). An individual coil (2) has a loop-shaped structure (1), which leads to a decoupling of individual coils (2) not immediately adjacent to each other when a plurality of individual elements are arranged. The space requirement for adding new coils is reduced, and the modular design makes it possible to easily implement any three-dimensional or two-dimensional shape.
