This disclosure provides a pixel structure and a driving method thereof, a display panel and a display device. The pixel structure comprises: a plurality of repeating groups; each repeating group comprising three sub-pixels of different colors arranged in row direction; positions of repeating groups of adjacent rows being staggered for one and a half sub-pixels in column direction. In the above pixel structure, three sub-pixels constitute two pixels, which can, under a relatively low physical resolution, realize a relatively high resolution through sharing sub-pixels by a plurality of pixel units.

A display panel, a display method and a display device are disclosed; the display panel comprises sub pixel units of red (R), green (G), blue (B) and one other color (X), wherein the sub pixel units are arranged into a sub pixel unit array, the sub pixel units in the sub pixel unit array are all in a cross shape, the cross shape being constructed with rectangles with an aspect ratio of 3:1 in transverse and longitudinal directions, and the cross shape having equal lengths in the transverse and longitudinal directions; and respective sub pixel units in the sub pixel unit array are interlaced with each other sequentially and arranged periodically. The display panel makes the pixel structure more compact and the pixel sharing property more obvious.

A display panel, a method for driving the display panel, and a display device are provided. The display panel includes a display region and a peripheral region surrounding the display region. Multiple gate lines each extending in a first direction and multiple data lines each extending in a second direction are arranged at the display region. A multiplexer is arranged at the peripheral region pointed by the second direction. The multiplexer is used to, under the control of gate line ON signals from a gate line switching control line, input gate line signals from a source driver unit to corresponding gate lines in a time-division manner, and under the control of data line ON signals from corresponding data line switching control lines, input data signals from the source driver unit to corresponding data lines in a time-division manner.

The present disclosure relates to an image displaying method and a display apparatus wherein each of raw pixels is divided into a plurality of virtual pixels based on desired image resolution for displaying a frame to be displayed; virtual image information for each of the virtual pixels is determined based on weights of the respective sub-pixels in each of the virtual pixels, weights of the respective sub-pixels in the virtual pixels which are adjacent in rows and the received original image information; thus, each of the virtual pixels displays a color(s) which it lacks itself with the aid of the respective sub-pixels in the virtual pixels which are adjacent in rows, so that the same display function as that of each of the raw pixels may be implemented, and thus the image resolution of the frame to be displayed is increased.

The present invention provides a display panel and a display method thereof, and a display device. The display panel comprises a plurality of sub-pixel arrays, each sub-pixel array is composed of eight sub-pixels arranged in two rows and four columns. In each sub-pixel array, four sub-pixels in a same row include three color sub-pixels and one compensation sub-pixel, the three color sub-pixels include one red sub-pixel, one green sub-pixel and one blue sub-pixel, colors of two sub-pixels in a same column are different from each other. The display method comprises: causing a plurality of color sub-pixels with the same color near a sub-pixel position to display, so that the required color component is displayed at the sub-pixel position under an average effect of the color sub-pixels with the same color; and performing display compensation on a sub-pixel position by using a plurality of compensation sub-pixels near the sub-pixel position.

The present invention provides a driving method of a pixel array, wherein the driving method includes: step 1, obtaining a theoretical brightness value of each sub-pixel for an image to be displayed; step 2, calculating an actual brightness value of each sub-pixel, the actual brightness value of a sub-pixel to be calculated is a sum of a part of the theoretical brightness value of the sub-pixel to be calculated and a part of the theoretical brightness values of a plurality of auxiliary sub-pixels corresponding to the sub-pixel to be calculated; and step 3, outputting a signal to each sub-pixel so that the brightness value of each sub-pixel reaches the actual brightness value thereof which is obtained in the step 2. The present invention further provides a driving module of a pixel array and a display device.
Abstract:
A display device and a method of adjusting backlight brightness of the display device are provided. The method includes converting original RGB signals of each pixel to corresponding RGBW signals; determining the color and original brightness value of each pixel based on the gray value ratio of the original RGB signals of each pixel; determining the backlight brightness value of each pixel based on the color of each pixel after the original RGB signals being converted; and performing weighted average calculation on the backlight brightness values of each pixel after the signals being converted, so as to obtain a whole backlight brightness adjustment value of all pixels.

A display substrate and a driving method thereof and a display device are provided. The display substrate includes two types of pixel rows arranged alternately and repeatedly. In one type of pixel row, a second sub-pixel, a third sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, a first sub-pixel and a third sub-pixel are arranged successively and repeatedly.
