    摘要: A liquid siphon for emptying containers such as drums includes a main suction pipe, of a relatively large diameter, and an auxiliary suction pipe, of a relatively small diameter, which auxiliary suction pipe is coextensive with the main suction pipe and extends slightly beyond the main suction pipe. At the location where the siphon is attached to a hose, a stopcock is provided which is used to close the main suction pipe when the siphon begins to draw air so that the auxiliary suction pipe along pulls liquid from the container. In this way residual liquid is removed from the container.

    摘要: A control system for actuators which can be separately energized. The controller of the system has a two-position control unit and a three-position control unit and is followed by constant current source circuits, a stepping switch unit with threshold switches having a stepped reference voltage, as well as a logic circuitry interconnecting the stepping switch unit and the two-position control output. Prevention of overshoot or undershoot is achieved by means of additional logic circuitry interconnecting the switches at the positive and negative output of said three-position control unit, said two-position control output, and said first mentioned logic circuitry between the stepping switch unit and two-position control output. In this manner overshoot can be prevented by quickly de-energizing the actuator, which was last energized, when the actual value in the controlled system closely approaches the set-point or reference value.

    摘要: This invention concerns a method of consolidating geological formations, heaped rock and earth masses by applying a polyurethane reaction system to the material to be consolidated. The reaction system comprises a polyisocyanate component and a polyol component wherein the polyol component contains about 5 to 50 wt.% of a special polyether with an OH number under about 100. This polyether is produced by the reaction of a compound having more than one reactive hydrogen atom per molecule and a molecular excess of a 1,2-alkylene oxide. The reaction system can also contain conventional polyurethane additives such as foaming agents, fillers, foam stabilizers and catalysts. In a preferred embodiment, the special polyether is produced from ethylene diamine or triethanol amine.

The intention is to improve such a plastic screw plug, in particular, with regard to its operating properties such as uniform application of force into the sleeper, simpler mounting and replaceability, reduction of the risk of fracturing, and additionally to permit it to be used in a variable way. For this purpose, the stem region (7) has on the inside, in the junction with the inner thread (10), a shoulder (13) which reduces the internal diameter over part of the length of the stem region (7) and extends in a spiral shape over at least part of the circumference.

    摘要: A rail mount secures a longitudinally extending rail having a foot to a sleeper of a track system. The mount has a rail base plate on the sleeper underneath the rail foot and unitarily formed with a pair of upwardly projecting holders transversely flanking the rail and each formed with at least one vertically throughgoing bore. Respective anchor bolts engaged vertically downward through the bores have heads bearing downward at least indirectly on the respective holders and are seated in the sleeper to hold the base plate down on the sleeper. Respective elastically deformable clips fitted to the holders below the respective anchor-bolt heads bear upwardly on the holders and downwardly on the rail foot to press the rail downwardly toward the sleeper.
