    摘要: Three-dimensional weaving, knitting, or braiding tools may be used to create three-dimensional fabric (24) with internal pockets (56). The pockets (56) may be shaped to receive electrical components such as switch electrodes (46A, 46B) for a switch (18). The fabric (24) may have adjacent first and second layers that are interposed between the switch electrodes (46A, 46B). The switch electrodes (46A, 46B) may be biased apart using magnets (46A-1, 46B-1) or other biasing structure. In a region of the fabric (24) that overlaps the first and second switch electrodes (46A, 46B), the first and second layers of fabric may be disconnected from each other. This allows the first and second layers to pull away from each other so that the electrodes (46A, 46B) are separated by the biasing force from the biasing structure. The switch (18) can be closed by pressing the electrodes (46A, 46B) together.

    摘要: A method and means are disclosed for measured control of tape-like warps for shedding and taking-up operations when producing woven materials comprising tape-like warps and wefts. According to this invention, a displaceable contact surface of the warp control device is located between the warp supply source and the shedding device. The warp control device includes a displaceable member for providing contact surface to displace at least some of the tape-like warp for releasing them in a measured way for shed forming and taking-up operations. Further, the contact surfaces are retracted for enabling shed closing and measured taking-up.

    摘要: A woven screen can include at least one first fiber oriented in a main direction of the woven screen and having a polymer coating and a first stiffness value, and at least one second fiber oriented in a direction of the woven screen different from the main direction, configured to intersect with the at least one first fiber, and having a modified polymer coating and a second stiffness value about 20% to about 70% greater than the first stiffness value. The modified polymer coating can include a polymer, a crosslinking agent, a catalyst, and a free radical initiator. The at least one first fiber can include the warp and the at least one second fiber can include the weft, respectively, of the woven screen. The second stiffness value can be about 40% greater than the first stiffness value over a temperature range of about −40° Celsius to about +40° Celsius.
