Abstract: An in-vehicle violence detection system includes a speech and non-speech audio recognition module capturing occupant threat words and non-speech audio events. In-vehicle accelerometers generate data analyzed in a shaking movement recognition module. A heart rate and breathing rate detection module measures physiological changes in occupant heart rates and breathing rhythms. An in-vehicle semantic scene recognition module analyzes occupant non-verbal interactions. Occupant threat indicators including an audible threat indicator are generated by the speech and non-speech audio event recognition module. Visual threat indicators are generated by the in-vehicle semantic scene recognition module. Physiological threat indicators are generated by the heart rate and breathing rate detection module. Vibration-based threat indicators are generated by the shaking movement recognition module. The four threat indicators are fused to estimate a threat level, consolidated by incorporating contextual information including a vehicle location and time. Different actions are taken based on the consolidated threat level.

Abstract: An automobile vehicle continuous validation system includes a backend collecting data from a vehicle fleet and wirelessly communicating with the vehicle fleet. A validation manager generates validation tasks based on a user's definition or a desired production of the validation tasks of the validation analysis and a fleet vehicle availability. Abstract: The vehicle mounted perception sensor gathers environment perception data from a scene using first and second heterogeneous (different modality) sensors, at least one of the heterogeneous sensors is directable to a predetermined region of interest. A perception processor receives the environment perception data and performs object recognition to identify objects each with a computed confidence score. The processor assesses the confidence score vis-à-vis a predetermined threshold, and based on that assessment, generates an attention signal to redirect the one of the heterogeneous sensors to a region of interest identified by the other heterogeneous sensor. In this way information from one sensor primes the other sensor to increase accuracy and provide deeper knowledge about the scene and thus do a better job of object tracking in vehicular applications.

Abstract: A method in a multiprocessor system for processing multiple perception streams is disclosed. The method comprises: reading data from a plurality of perception streams according to a reading schedule determined by a predetermined policy, each perception stream comprising perception data from a different perception sensor; assigning a unique identification tag to each perception stream; writing each perception stream with its unique identification tag to a server input queue based on the predetermined policy; and processing the tagged perception streams using a server. The processing includes: retrieving tagged perception streams from the server input queue; applying a processing algorithm to process the retrieved tagged perception streams; and outputting the processed perception streams to a server output queue. The method further includes retrieving the processed perception streams from the server output queue and dispatching each retrieved processed perception stream to an appropriate post-processing destination based on the tag associated with the retrieved processed perception stream.
