摘要: Embodiments of the invention include a parallel method for real-time video encoding in a multicore processor system. A first frame of video data is divided into groups. Each group has one or more rows of a plurality of macroblocks. Motion estimation is performed on a second group following a first group by a first core of said multicore system. While said motion estimation is being performed by said first core, compression-and-reconstruction is performed on said first group by a second core.

摘要: This invention relates to targeted delivery of anti-viral compounds through protein bioconjugation. More particularly, it relates to an anti-viral compound conjugated to a protein, such as hemoglobin and to a method of treating a viral infection using said conjugate. The invention also provides a method of targeted drug delivery of an anti-viral nucleoside analogue to macrophages, cells comprising a hemoglobin receptor and to CD163 bearing cells.

摘要: A tubular medical fluid flow set comprises a pressure sensing chamber connected in flow-through relation to fluid flow tubing of the set. The pressure sensing chamber defines a movable, flexible, impermeable diaphragm dividing the chamber into two separate compartments. The fluid flow tubing communicates with one of the compartments and is isolated from the other of the compartments. A port is carried on the chamber, the port having a seal therein, and communicating with the other of the compartments. Thus, the other of the compartments is hermetically sealed until the port is opened for connection with a pressure measuring device, to keep the flexible diaphragm in a desired, initial position prior to opening of the seal.

摘要: A method, system and computer program product for automatically alerting one or more recipients of the arrival of an individual to a known destination via a global positioning system (GPS) navigation device. To issue an accurate alert of arrival time and or distance, the device enables: (1) pre-selection of two or more locations from a plurality of mapped locations; (2) pre-selection of one or more devices to which an alert is to be sent when the GPS device passes through the pre-selected locations; and (3) pre-selection of a time during which the alert should be triggered. The device automatically sends an alert to one or more devices when the GPS device passes through the pre-selected locations during the pre-selected time period, wherein the alert informs the user of the one or more recipient devices that the individual (corresponding to the GPS device) has commenced a journey to the destination.

摘要: A stringed musical instrument has a body coupled to a single neck, multiple registers of strings, and a bridge that provides for at least one of acoustic and electronic separation of the multiple registers. The strings are preferrably arranged in paired courses, each of which has two members tuned to vibrate sympathetically with one another. In at least one of the members of each pair is a metallic string, and the other is a nylon or other non-metallic string. Preferred examples include a guitar, and more preferably an acoustic 12-string guitar. The bridge preferably has interleaved saddles for the various strings, each of which has its own associated pickup. The sounding board is reinforced with transverse brace struts. Optional equipment includes a balancing circuit that can be used to balance outputs of the vibration sensors.
