    摘要: A press fit pin of the present invention has a press-fitted region to be press-fitted and connected to a conductive through hole of a printed circuit board or other circuit substrate. The press-fitted region is formed into substantially an M-shape in cross-section, which has two beam-like regions extending substantially in parallel, and a connection region connecting the beam-like regions in a deformable manner. The connection region is formed into such an arcuate shape in cross-section that an upper surface corresponding to a valley side of the M-shape is a concave surface and an opposite lower surface is a convex surface. A part of the upper surface is partially located on the lower surface side with respect to a straight line L connecting left and right inner side continuous portions where the lower surface of the connection region and inner surfaces of the two beam-like regions are continuous to each other.

    摘要: An electrical connector is provided for terminating a flat flexible cable. The connector includes a dielectric housing for receiving the flat flexible cable, the housing having arm holders at opposite ends thereof. A plurality of conductive terminals are mounted on the housing for electrically engaging appropriate conductors of the flat flexible cable. An elongated actuator is movably mounted on the housing and includes a body with a pressing portion for biasing the cable against the contact portions of the terminals. The actuator is fabricated of rigid ceramic material. A pair of connecting arms are mounted at opposite ends of the actuator and are of a resilient material other than ceramic for insertion into the arm holders of the housing.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly includes a receptacle connector having a housing defining a mating receptacle. A dielectric wafer is mounted in the housing. A plurality of terminal pins are mounted through the wafer with mating ends of the pins projecting from one side of the wafer into the mating receptacle and connector ends of the pins projecting from an opposite side of the wafer. A plurality of discrete first connector modules are mounted on the housing for termination to selected ones of the connector ends of the terminal pins. A plug connector includes a shell defining a mating plug for insertion into the mating receptacle of the receptacle connector. A plurality of discrete second connector modules are mounted on the shell for termination to selected ones of the mating ends of the terminal pins when the plug connector is mated with the receptacle connector.

    摘要: An electrical connector that holds a circuit card in place includes a latching arm for engaging the side edge of the circuit card for maintaining the latter in a mounted position in the connector. The electrical connector permits the latching arm to be formed thinner and thereby permits downsizing of the overall electrical connector. The electrical connector includes a housing formed with a card-receiving slot for accommodating an edge of a circuit card, and a plurality of terminals provided in parallel to each other within the card-receiving slot for establishing electrical communication with a conductive pattern at the edge portion of the circuit card. A latching arm is integrally formed with the housing and is outwardly deflectable. The latching arm is adapted to engage with the side edge of the circuit card which is accommodated within the card-receiving slot, and a metallic reinforcing channel is provided in association with and extending along the latching arm for restricting deflection and twisting of the latching arm.

The type of recording paper is selected by a printer control command so that a return amount for continuing a printing operation specific to the selected type of recording paper can be set. As a result, printing can be executed once a return amount has been set for each type of recording paper if the user wishes to print on different types of recording paper having different return amounts, thereby reducing the burden on the part of the host computer in controlling the printer and increasing the printing speed of the printer.

    摘要: A computer system is connected to a printer via a parallel interface, for point-of-sale (POS) applications employing one or more different paper sources, such as, continuous tape, document insertion, and sheet validation. A detector is associated with each paper source to sense a paper empty or out condition. The printer has an addressable latch that enables a choice of one or more of these detectors for connection through to a single status line within the parallel printer interface. The computer CPU can access the addressable latch prior to any printing so that the presence of an appropriate type of paper in its appropriate print position in the printer can be checked or tested utilizing an industry standard parallel printer interface, such as, the widely employed Centronics interface.

    摘要: A printer control device is employed with host computer controlled printers, typically of the point-of-sale (POS) type, which are capable of printing on several different types of recording paper. Several detectors are used on the printer to sense out-of-paper conditions with at least one detector being associated with each paper source used, and a detector selection device is used to determine which detector outputs are to be connected to the host computer through a communications interface. Detector output values can be stored and logically combined to allow transfer over a single communications line. Specific detector outputs can be enabled or selected for transfer to the host or for use in termination of printing operations. A paper type selector is used for setting line spacing or advancement amounts which are stored by the printer controller for later retrieval. Typically each advancement value relative to one type of paper is stored separately in a memory location or element. The type of recording paper and line advancement value for that paper are each selected by a printer control command, which is interpreted and acted upon by the printer controller. The printer controller responds to data printing commands and activates paper transfer mechanisms within the printer to achieve the established line advancement values during printing operations.
