Abstract:
An electrolysis solution for electrolytic capacitors including an aqueous organic solvent consisting of water and a water-compatible organic solvent and 1,6-decane-dicarboxylic acid or salt thereof dissolved therein. The solution further contains one or more additives selected from dinitriles, pivalic acid and salts thereof, diesters, alkylated lactones, cyanoalkanoic esters, monocarbboxylic acids each having a C3-7 alkyl chain and substituted with two C1-4 alkyl groups at the &bgr;-position to the carboxyl group and salts thereof, monocarboxylic acids each having C3-7 alkyl chain and substituted with one ethyl group at the &agr;-position to the carboxyl group and salts thereof, and monocarboxylic acids derived from cyclic saturated compounds each having five or six ring-constituting carbon atoms and salts thereof. When one or more compounds selected from among dinitriles, diesters, alkylated lactones and cyanoalkanoic esters are used as the additives, the 1,6-decanedicarboxylic acid may be replaced by other carboxylic acid.
Abstract:
A non-aqueous electrolytic solution favorably employable for a lithium secondary battery employs a non-aqueous solvent composed of a cyclic carbonate, a linear carbonate and vinylene carbonate, and shows a reduction potential of less than 1 volt, with reference to lithium, or contains chlorine atom-containing organic compounds in an amount of 10 ppm or less, in terms of chlorine atom content.
Abstract:
The present invention is a detergent composition which contains alkali metal N-methyltaurate, alkali metal taurate or alkali metal hypotaurate salt of a specific organic acid or organic alkali N-methyltaurate, organic alkali taurate or organic alkali hypotaurate salt of a specific organic acid. The detergent composition of the present invention is an excellent detergent composition which has better foaming and foam quality, less pH dependence of the foaming, creamy foam, no creaking feeling or stretched feeling and no offensive odor.

Abstract:
An oil-water mixed composition is consisted of a solid or semisolid oil phase at room temperature, and a water phase which is dispersed into the oil phase. The water phase contains a humectant and is solid or semisolid at room temperature. Preferably, the oil phase contains hydrophobic silica, dextrin fatty acid ester or polyvalent alcohol oligo ester of long chain monocarboxylic acid and long chain dicarboxylic acid. The oil-water mixed composition is superior in stability with passage of time and safety. In addition, this composition has demonstrated little stickiness and sensation of unsuitability for skin, and has much emollient effect (i.e., to prevent the skin from dryness) and is persistent in preserving its emollient effect.
Abstract:
An antibacterial agent characterized by containing a polyelectrolyte complex prepared by reacting a cationic polymer containing N.sup.+ atoms in repeating units thereof and an anionic polymer containing --COO.sup.-, --SO.sub.3.sup.-, or --PO.sub.3.sup.- groups in repeating units thereof, and an antibacterial material carrying the above polyelectrolyte complex on a carrier.
Abstract:
A cathode roller mechanism comprises a tapered cathode roller for establishing an electrical connection to a semiconductor lead frame and an elastic, frictional pressure roller. The cathode roller comprises a tapered roller body defining a tapered side surface and an electrically conductive stopper disposed on the roller body and having an inner tapered electrode. The pressure roller is arranged so that the path of a drifted lead frame can be corrected, and the drift of the lead frame can be positively prevented by pressing the lead frame in such a manner that no drift of the lead frame occurs. In addition, an auxiliary electrode is provided on the inside of the tapered electrode, a third tapered surface is provided on the auxiliary electrode, and the width of the pressure roller is set to a length sufficient to press a corner of a molded portion of lead frame having the maximum width so that electrical continuity, i.e., the connection between the lead frame and the electrode, can be stabilized, and the lead frame can be more stably made a cathode.
Abstract:
A number of embodiments of outboard motors incorporating lubricating systems having a filter for filtering gravity flow of lubricant to the engine and for sensing a clogged filter condition. In each embodiment, a warning is given when the filter clogging condition is noted and furthermore there is provided an arrangement for reducing the speed of the engine and accordingly the lubricant consumption in response to such a clogging condition. In addition, the sensing device also provides an indication of the level of lubricant within the reservoir.
