摘要: An interstage casing made of sheet metal includes a cylindrical receptacle-like body having a casing end wall on an end thereof and an open end opposite to The end. The omen end has an axial end surface and a radially inner surface which serve as a member of a spigot joint to be joined to the next interstage casing. The cylindrical receptacle-like body also includes a cylindrical side wall, a cylindrical portion joined between the casing end wall and the cylindrical side wall and having an outside diameter slightly smaller than an inside diameter of the open end, and a flat portion joined to the recessed portion and serving as an end surface of the casing end wall. The flat portion is adapted to be engageable with the end surface of the open end of an adjacent interstage casing. The flat portion has an outside diameter slightly larger than an outside diameter of the open end. The interstage casing further includes a recessed portion joined to The cylindrical portion and smaller in diameter than the cylindrical portion. The recessed portion provides a space for installing an O-ring therein.

摘要: A strain detector in which a pair of magnetic layer patterns (5, 6) made of a magnetically permeable soft magnetic material are attached to a driven shaft (1) and a pair of detection coils (8, 9) are disposed to surround the respective magnetic layers for detecting a change in magnetic permeability of the magnetic layers which is caused when an external force is applied to the driven shaft. A magnetic yoke (15 or 16) is disposed around each of the detection coils (8 or 9) for promoting the passage of the magnetic flux therethrough, thereby decreasing flux leakage. The magnetic yokes (15, 16) each comprises an axially extending tubular member (15a) and radially inward outer and inner flanges (15d, 15e) extending from axially outer and inner ends of the tubular member, respectively. The magnetic yokes each may be made of a compacted core material containing magnetic powder and binder or assembled from a plurality of parts. A highly electrically-conductive, non-magnetic material (23) may be disposed directly between the inner ends (21b ) of the tubular member (21a) of the magnetic yokes (21) and the detection coils (8, 9) for magnetically isolating them without the need for any inner flange while allowing a compact structure.

摘要: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer and a protective layer. The material contains a photosensitive silver halide emulsion and inside fogged silver halide emulsion as well as a disulfide compound. The disulfide compound is a compound represented by the general formula (I):A--S--S--B (I)wherein A and B independently represent an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group or ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a heterocyclic group or an amino group. The material can form images having high contrast and a high maximum density. Further, the material has high sensitivity to light and can be developed at a low temperature in a reduced amount of time.

摘要: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having positioned thereon a silver halide emulsion layer and a protective layer. The silver halide emulsion layer includes at least two component layers including an upper layer and a lower layer. The upper layer is comprised of a photosensitive silver halide emulsion and the lower layer is comprised of a photosensitive silver halide emulsion and an inside fogged silver halide emulsion. The particle size of the inside fogged silver halide emulsion is smaller than that of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion in the upper layer and the lower layer. The material is highly sensitive and forms images which have high contrast and high density. The material is capable of forming images having a pure black tone. When the materials are processed they create substantially no stain even if a stopping bath is not utilized.
