Abstract: Backhaul resources may be allocated to different wireless communication links between different base stations, and local redistribution of resources among base stations may be utilized to account for variations in signal quality and/or variations in traffic experienced by different nodes of the backhaul network. A first access node function (ANF) may determine a need for additional backhaul resources, and may transmit a request message to one or more user equipment functions (UEFs) for additional backhaul resources. A UEF that receives the request message may forward the request to an associated second ANF. The second ANF, if it has backhaul resources available that the first ANF can use, may send a response to the first ANF, via the associated UEF, and the first ANF may use the additional resources that were originally allocated to the second ANF.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device may receive a beacon signal and, in response, may transmit a preamble based on an indicated preamble configuration. In some examples, the received beacon signal may be associated with one or more power signature identifier. In some cases, the communication device may determine a set of resource elements based on the one or more power signature and may transmit the preamble based on the determined set of resources elements. In some cases, in response to receiving the beacon signal, the communication device may transmit a report including an indication of the subset of resource elements. In some examples, a communication device may transmit a preamble that may include a request for cell information associated with a received beacon signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Different periodicities may be dynamically selected when monitoring and transmitting signaling used for link management, where respective periodicities may be based on the quality of the link between devices. For instance, a first wireless device may use a first monitoring periodicity to monitor for signals transmitted from another wireless device. Upon determining that a link condition has changed (e.g., decreased or reached a threshold), the first wireless device may decrease its monitoring periodicity (and increase monitoring frequency) to detect signals transmitted by the other wireless device more frequently. In such cases, the other wireless device may likewise transmit its measurement signals more often (e.g., in accordance with a second periodicity) based on the link quality. The adjusted monitoring and transmission periodicities may provide additional occasions for the wireless device to detect signals from another device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may configure one or more first sets of resources of a radio frequency spectrum band associated with a first pathloss mode, and may configure one or more second sets of resources associated with a second pathloss mode. Each set of resources may be configured with some transmission timing parameters and frame structure, such that a transmission time interval (TTI) associated with the first pathloss mode may be different from the TTI associated with the second pathloss mode. The wireless device may communicate with a second wireless device using the one or more first sets of resources based on identifying a pathloss value is below an identified pathloss threshold. Additionally, the wireless device may communicate with a third device using the one or more second sets of resources based on identifying a pathloss value satisfies the identified pathloss threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which RF-domain wireless routers may repeat, extend, or redirect beamformed wireless signals received from one or more transmitters to one or more receivers. The second antenna may transmit and/or receive other one or more directional beams. The node may further include a controller configured to control the switch matrix for the coupling.
