摘要: An IC card reader is provided for reading data stored in an IC card with radio communication and inputting the data into, for example, a personal computer. The IC card reader includes a card holder and a fastening mechanism which attaches the card holder to a data reading table detachably. This structure provides for ease of usage of the card reader to a user in two selectable modes. In the first mode, the stored data may be inputted into the computer only by passing the IC card over the data reading table instantaneously. In the second mode, the user may insert the IC card into the card holder fitted on the data reading table to transmit data to the compute through radio communication.

摘要: In order to monitor a state of a battery, a threshold value of an internal impedance of the battery is first determined. It is prepared an approximate expression indicating a correlation between a residual capacity of the battery and an internal impedance of the battery which is greater than the threshold value. The internal impedance of the battery is then measured. When the measured internal impedance is the threshold value or less, the residual capacity is determined as an initial value. When the measured internal impedance is greater than the threshold value, the residual capacity is monitored with the approximate expression.

摘要: A precision fine powder dispersing supply apparatus includes a fine powder storage vessel, a minute amount supply feeder, a supply device for supplying fine powder in the storage vessel to the minute amount supply feeder, and a discharging device for discharging the fine powder from the minute amount supply feeder to the subsequent process. It is preferable to dispose a heat unit to the transportation path of the fine powder discharged from the minute amount supply feeder. Further, it is preferable to dispose fine particle sensors to the minute amount supply feeder to confirm the feed operation of the fine powder. With this arrangement, the precision fine powder dispersing supply apparatus can stably supply the fine powder in a dispersed state in an ultra minute amount with pinpoint accuracy.

摘要: Semiconductor device in which wiring surface area is increased while the increase of the capacitance between adjacent micro-wires is inhibited. The device can be prepared by forming an insulating layer and a plating feed layer in this order on a semiconductor substrate, plating after masking the plating feed layer with a first photoresist to form a gold plating, etching off the gold plating and the plating feed layer except for a wiring portion by dry-etching after masking the resultant surface with a second photoresist, removing then the first and second photoresists to form micro-wires, in which the same direction of the side portion is opened. The cross section may be U-shape arranged with U being turned sideways.

摘要: A velocity detector detects the velocity of a person moving along a predetermined path. A controller controls information display programs of image servers adapted for sending a series of information to a plurality of image display devices arranged sequentially along the path in accordance with the detected velocity of the moving person. The image display devices share with each other in displaying a series of information as a message. Each of the image display devices display a part of the series of information that is recognizable by the moving person according to the information display program. Thus, information can surely be presented to a person moving along a predetermined path, and no expensive large-size display screen is required.

摘要: Pick-up tools and other devices for handling semiconductor wafers are require to be capable of withstanding corrosive chemical substances and extreme temperatures, and the valve unit for use in such devices must meet these requirements. The valve unit is also desired to be free from electrostatic charging. To this end, the valve unit comprises a valve main body, having a valve seat defined therein, which is made of relatively electroconductive and self-lubricating material such as PTFE, and a valve case which is injection molded around the valve unit and made of a material having some electroconductivity and a high resistance against deformation such as PEEK mixed with carbon fibers. Provision of annular grooves on the outer surface of the valve main body improves the attachment between the valve main body and the valve case so as to improve both the sealing performance and the mechanical integrity of the valve unit.
