Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, a security and safety-related service, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for a terminal transmitting a data packet in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: generating a data packet; determining whether to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet; and if it is determined to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet, generating at least two duplicate packets by duplicating the data packet, and transmitting the respective at least two duplicate packets to at least two base stations.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided in order to support a higher data transmission rate following 4G communication systems such as LTE. Disclosed are a method and device for improving device searching in a D2D communication system supporting direct communication between devices. The method comprises the steps of: generating a search signal including search information; selecting a transmission resource to transmit the search signal; transmitting the search signal through the selected transmission resource; and when a request signal requesting additional information on the search from a counterpart device that has received the search signal is received, transmitting a confirmation signal including the requested additional information to the counterpart device. The present disclosure relates to a communication technique and system which combine a 5G communication system, for supporting a higher data transmission rate following 4G systems, with IoT technology.

Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. A communication method of a terminal in a wireless communication system, which includes a first base station supporting first wireless communication and a second base station supporting second wireless communication, can comprise the steps of: performing data communication though the first wireless communication with the first base station; receiving, from the first or second base station, configuration information for second wireless communication connection; reporting, to the first or second base station, the result of measurement on at least one beamforming reference signal having been received from the second base station, on the basis of the configuration information; and establishing the second wireless communication connection with the second base station on the basis of the measurement result.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for processing a radio link failure (RLF) by a user equipment (UE) supporting a dual-connectivity communication system is provided. The method includes determining a state of a radio link with a first base station using a reference signal, transmitting to a second base station, when the radio link with the first base station fails, a message indicating that the radio link with the first base station fails, redetermining the state of the radio link with the first base station using a reference signal of the first base station during a predetermined time, and switching, after the predetermined time, a data transmission line when the radio link with the first base station fails.

A method and an apparatus that may repeatedly transmit signals to cope with and reduce transmission errors in device-to-device (D2D) communication are provided. The method includes receiving, upon generation of data to be transmitted to a receiving user equipment (UE) (RX UE), allocation of resources to be used for D2D communication, transmitting a scheduling assignment (SA) containing identification information of at least one RX UE to the at least one RX UE, assigning at least one hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process for the identification information of the at least one RX UE, and transmitting data to the at least one RX UE based on the HARQ process. Accordingly, it is possible to remove factors causing system performance degradation when retransmission operation for communication between a UE and a base station (eNB) is introduced to D2D communication.
