Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and a wireless network device (100) for handing a paging cause of a service. The method includes receiving, by the wireless network device (100), a NAS message includes the paging cause of the service provided by the wireless network device (100) and a first value corresponding to the paging cause from a UE (200). The method includes modifying, by the wireless network device (100), the first value of the paging cause of the service to a second value, and sending a NAS response message to the UE (200), where the NAS response message includes the paging cause of the service and the second value of the paging cause. The second value enables the UE (200) to respond to a paging message based on the second value of the paging cause.

The method further includes identifying, by a network, a mobility of the UE from a source PLMN ID to a target PLMN ID and indicating the URC ID of the target PLMN ID to a Radio Access Network (RAN) associated with the target PLMN based on the UE context information, if the source PLMN ID and the target PLMN ID belong to the same TAI list.

Abstract: A method for re-evaluating one or more user equipment route selection policy (URSP) rules associated with a user equipment (UE) in communication with a network entity is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, at a user equipment non-access stratum (UE NAS) layer, a back-off timer from the network entity. The back-off timer is related to non-initiation of a packet data unit (PDU) session associated with an application within the UE. The method comprises initiating, by the UE, the PDU session associated with the application. The method comprises indicating, by the UE NAS layer, an expiry of the back-off timer. The method comprises, upon the expiry of the back-off timer, re-evaluating, by the UE, the one or more URSP rules to determine whether a change of association of the PDU session with the application is required.

Abstract: Embodiments of present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for managing security context related to a UE. Initially, registration of a UE with a new AMF in a communication network is identified. Further, generation of new security context by new AUSF selected by the new AMF for authentication of the UE is detected. Further, presence of one or more old security contexts elated to the UE and generated by one or more old AUSFs selected by one or more old AMFs for one or more previous authentications of the UE, is detected. Upon the detection, de-registration of the UE with the one or more old AUSFs is initiated for managing security context related to the UE in the communication network. Thus, stale and inactive security context related to the UE may be deleted in the network and security of communication with the UE is enhanced.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system. A method for Network slice admission control for interworking with an Evolved Packet Core Network (EPC) in a wireless network by a Session Management Function-Packet Data Network Gateway (SMF-PGW-C) is provided. The method includes detecting that at least one UE transfers a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection or a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session from a N1 mode to a S1 mode during an intersystem change. Further, the method includes determining that an EPC counting is not required for a network slice of the wireless network. Further, the method includes transmitting a message to a Network Slice Admission Control Function (NSACF) in the wireless network to update or reduce a number of User Equipments (UEs) per network slice and a number of PDU sessions per network slice.
