    摘要: A method for producing polyacrylic acid includes a combined process of an acrylic acid production process and a polyacrylic acid production process. The acrylic acid production process includes the steps of catalytically oxidizing propylene and/or propane in a gaseous phase to generate reaction product, absorbing the reaction product in a solvent, and purifying acrylic acid from an acrylic acid aqueous solution containing the solvent by purification. The polyacrylic acid production process includes the step of utilizing heat medium recovered in the acrylic acid production process to purify polyacrylic acid from the acrylic acid aqueous solution or from acrylic acid.

    摘要: A method for the production of a water-absorbent agent comprises mixing an absorbent resin containing a carboxyl group with an additive soluble in the aqueous solution of at least one member selected from the group consisting of inorganic acids, organic acids, and polyamino acids and a cross-linking agent capable of reacting with the carboxyl group. A water-absorbent agent obtained by adding from 0.005 to 8 parts by weight of an epoxy compound to 100 parts by weight of a water-absorbent resin, exhibiting an absorption capacity without load of at least 45 (g/g), an absorption capacity under load of 20 g/cm2 of not less than 30 (ml/g) and having a residue amount of an epoxy compound of not more than 2 ppm. A water-absorbent composition comprises a polyamino acid (salt) and a water-absorbent resin containing a carboxyl group.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process for producing a water-absorbent resin of which the residual monomer content and the extractable content are low. The process for producing a water-absorbent resin comprises the step of polymerizing at least one monomer component including acrylic acid and/or its salt as major components to produce a water-absorbent resin that is a neutralized salt, and this process is characterized in that the acrylic acid is a product obtained by catalytic gas phase oxidation of propylene and/or propane and has a protoanemonin content of not more than 10 ppm, and in that the resultant water-absorbent resin has a neutralization ratio of not less than 50 mol %.

    摘要: In a production process for a water-absorbent resin, comprising the steps of: blending a liquid material and a water-absorbent resin; and heating the resultant mixture in order to produce a modified water-absorbent resin, the present invention is to provide: a method for uniformly and efficiently treating a water-absorbent resin favorably in view of industry, and as a result, a good-balanced water-absorbent resin having various excellent properties, such absorption capacity without a load, absorption capacity under a load, and single-layer absorption capacity under a load in contact with an aqueous liquid. The production process comprises the step of spray-blending a water-absorbent resin (A) and a liquid material (B) with a blending apparatus equipped with a spray nozzle (C), wherein the liquid material (B) is sprayed from the spray nozzle (C) and its spray pattern is a circular and hollow cone shape or a double-convex-lens and elliptic cone shape. In addition, the production process comprises the step of heat-treating a water-absorbent resin under an atmosphere having a dew point of not higher than 60° C. and a temperature of not lower than 90° C., wherein the water-absorbent resin is obtained after a drying step following a pulverization step.

The granulation is carried out by mixing a preheated aqueous liquid and a water-absorbent resin powder at a high speed or by supplying a water-absorbent resin powder downstream of an aqueous liquid with a continuous extrusion mixer.

    摘要: In the production of an acrylate polymer by the steps of preparing a water-soluble unsaturated monomer having a ratio of neutralization in the range of 30 to 100 mol % and containing 50 to 100 mol % of an acrylate and then polymerizing the monomer, a method for the production of a hydrophilic resin which comprises using a water-soluble unsaturated monomer having a &bgr;-hydroxy propionic acid (salt) content of not more than 1,000 ppm. The hydrophilic resin obtained by this method exhibits excellent physical properties and has only a small residual monomer content. Further, a residual monomer content neither occurs nor increases in any using conditions.

    摘要: A water content of a water-containing gel of a hydrophilic cross-linked polymer is reduced by pressuring (calendaring) it. Then, a gel composition including, for example, a water-containing gel including cross-linked poly(meth)acrylic acid (salt), glycerol (polyhydric alcohol) and polyester fibers (auxiliary forming material), etc., is fed to a drum dryer on an upstream side of a pressurizing roller. Then, the resulting gel composition is pressurized (calendared) heated by a pressurizing roller to be formed into a sheet. As a result, a sheet-like absorbent material having at least one smooth surface can be obtained. The absorbent material resulting from the described method shows excellent properties and especially absorbing properties such as absorbing rate, absorbency under load, and shape retaining properties.

    摘要: A method according to the present invention for producing water absorbent resin powder is a method for producing water absorbent resin having a surface cross-linked structure, and includes: a polymerization step in which an unsaturated monomer aqueous solution is polymerized; a drying step in which a hydrogel cross-linked polymer obtained in the polymerization step is dried; a surface treatment step in which the hydrogel cross-linked polymer or a dried hydrogel cross-linked polymer is subjected to a surface treatment; and a sorting step, carried out after the drying step, in which a foreign matter included in a water absorbent resin is color-sorted from the water absorbent resin entirely or partially. As a result, it is possible to obtain a water absorbent resin which has high properties and is less likely to be colored. In this way, there is provided the water absorbent resin powder production method in which the color sorting technique is used to remove foreign matters from the water absorbent resin.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing a water absorbent resin, by which a surface-crosslinked water absorbent resin having excellent physical properties can be efficiently obtained at low cost, while assuring high productivity. When the production scale is increased to a continuous production on a huge scale (for example, 1 t/hr or more), the physical properties are improved and stabilized (for example, standard deviation of the physical properties is reduced) by a surface-crosslinking treatment, and the absorption against pressure (AAP) and liquid permeability (SFC) are further improved. Specifically disclosed is a method for continuously producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-type water absorbent resin powder, which comprises: a step of preparing an aqueous monomer solution using an acrylic acid (salt); a step of polymerizing the aqueous monomer solution; a shredding step of a hydrous gel-like crosslinked polymer during or after the polymerization; a step of drying the thus-obtained particulate hydrous gel-like crosslinked polymer; a step of crushing and classifying the dried product; a step of heating and surface-crosslinking after the classification; and a step of cooling after the surface-crosslinking. In the method for producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-type water absorbent resin, the internal area of the cooling device that is used in the cooling step is 0.25-0.95 times the internal area of the heating device that is used in the surface-crosslinking step.
