    摘要: A metallic reforming catalyst, preferably consisting of platinum and iridium or compounds thereof, with or without a third metal component of either Groups IB, IIB, IIIA, IVA, VB, VIB or VIIB on a porous carrier provides excellent conversion of naphtha to C.sub.5 .sup.+ product. A method of incorporating the metals or metal compounds on the carrier and preparing the finished catalyst using dimethyl sulfoxide is a novel procedure and provides unexpected catalytic properties. Novel reforming operations using these catalysts under moderate or severe conditions do not drastically alter the product yield.
