摘要: Hydrocarbon composition plays vital role in fuel quality. For gasoline/motor spirit applications the hydrocarbon should have more octane-possessing molecules from the groups of aromatics, naphthenics and isoparaffins, while n-paraffins are not preferred due to their poor octane. Among the high-octane groups, again aromatics occupy the top but not more than 35 vol % aromatics can be mixed in gasoline for engine applications to avoid harmful emission, But there is no single process that addresses so far the issue of co-producing all the desired hydrocarbon components in a single process. Thus, it is interesting to have a single once-through process working on single catalyst system to produce mixture of all three high-octane molecules namely, aromatics, naphthenics and isoparaffins directly from low-value, low-octane n-paraffin feed. Herein, we report a novel single-step catalytic process for the simultaneous production of aromatics, naphthenics and isoparaffins for gasoline and petrochemical applications.

摘要: Methods and systems for the conversion of hydrocarbon feedstocks, in particular, naphtha feedstocks, into a hydrocarbon product stream containing a high yield of high-octane gasoline and chemicals products. In particular, the conversion takes place over a series of functionally distinctive catalyst beds, at least one of which includes a modified zeolitic catalyst comprising a zeolite, a transition metal, and optionally a binder. Systems provided include a hydrocarbon feed stream, which may be full-range naphtha, a hydrocarbon product stream, and a plurality of functionally distinctive catalyst beds arranged in series, wherein at least one of the catalyst beds comprises a modified zeolitic catalyst. A hydrocarbon feed stream may be conveyed through the plurality of functionally distinctive catalyst beds, producing an intermediate hydrocarbon stream between each, under conditions effective to convert the hydrocarbon feed stream to a hydrocarbon product stream comprising high-octane gasoline, xylenes, benzene, and/or toluene.

摘要: Zn-promoted and/or Ga-promoted cracking catalysts, such as cracking catalysts comprising an MSE framework zeolite or an MFI framework zeolite can provide unexpectedly superior conversion of branched paraffins when used as part of a catalyst during reforming of a hydrocarbon fuel stream. The conversion and reforming of the hydrocarbon fuel stream can occur, for example, in an internal combustion engine. The conversion and reforming can allow for formation of higher octane compounds from the branched paraffins.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a naphtha reforming process for obtaining reformed naphtha comprising contacting naphtha with a catalyst, the catalyst comprising a chloride free zeolite coated alumina support impregnated with 0.01 wt % to 0.5 wt % active metal and 0.01 wt % to 0.5 wt % promoter metal, wherein the thickness of the zeolite coating on the alumina support ranges from 100 μm to 200 μm, which results in formation of reformed products of naphtha and ethylbenzene formed in-situ.

摘要: Process for the preparation of a catalyst suitable for use in a naphtha reforming process, the process including providing a Y zeolite with an initial SiO2:Al2O3 molar ratio of at least 150, introducing the Y zeolite to a binder to form an intermediate composition, extruding the intermediate composition, reducing the alpha acidity of the extruded composition to provide a low acid composition, and introducing a noble metal to the low acid composition. Processes and systems of converting naphtha to a higher-octane hydrocarbon supply using catalysts, as prepared herein, are also disclosed.

摘要: A flexible process for gasoline refineries is described. The process can vary depending on the available feedstock and the desired products. At one time, the process can involve disproportionating pentanes to a product mixture including isobutane and isohexane. At other times, by switching the feedstock and operating conditions, the process can convert a mixture of C4 and C7 paraffins to a low aromatic blendstock with suitable octane and a vapor pressure lower than butanes. The process can be performed in separate stand-alone units operated at different times, or a single unit can be operated according to one process at one time and according to the other process at another time.
