摘要: A low drop out series regulator circuit for generating an output voltage that does not rely on voltage feedback or require a capacitor for stable operation includes first and second current sources connected in series between a supply voltage and ground. A resistor is connected between and in series with the first and second current sources, and a reference voltage is generated across the resistor by the current from the first current source. A first transistor is connected between the ground and a first node located between the resistor and the second current source. A current mirror circuit is connected between the supply voltage and the first transistor. A current sense transistor is connected between the current mirror circuit and an output terminal. An output transistor is connected between the supply voltage and the output terminal. The output voltage generated at the output terminal is equal to the reference voltage.

摘要: A trimming circuit and an electronic circuit that decreases the resistance of an activated transistor while reducing the number of resistors. The trimming circuit includes a plurality of series-connected units. Units for respectively changing adjusting resistances of Runit/2, Runit/4, Runit/8, and Runit/16 are each formed by a transistor, a series-connected resistor circuit, which has resistance Rt and which is connected in series to the transistor, and a parallel-connected resistor circuit, which has resistance Rm and which is connected to the transistor and the series-connected resistor circuit. The resistances Rm and Rt are determined in each unit such that the difference between the resistance Rm when the transistor is off and the resistance of the entire unit when the transistor is on determines the adjusting resistance.

摘要: A level shifter circuit that properly operates even when the power supply voltage is unstable. A level shifter circuit includes a first level shifter unit, a second level shifter unit, and a latch unit. In the first level shifter unit, a transistor is connected to a power supply line to generate drive voltage that is lower than a first power supply voltage. The first level shifter unit outputs complementary signals from the drive voltage. The output of the first level shifter unit is provided to the second level shifter unit. The second level shifter unit converts a complementary signal to a signal having a second power supply voltage. Based on this signal, a signal of the latch unit is switched.

摘要: In order to make a boundary inconspicuous, which is located between an image area which displays an image by translucent pixels and a dummy area which always displays a white color by reflection pixels, a size ratio of transparent areas in color filters of the reflection pixels with respect to reflection areas therein is made larger than a size ratio of transparent areas in color filters of the translucent pixels with respect to reflection areas therein. In such a way, brightness of the display is balanced by adjusting quantities of transmission light through the transparent areas of the reflection pixels with respect to quantities of reflection light generated unexpectedly on transmission areas of the translucent pixels. Then, degrees of whiteness in the translucent pixels and the reflection pixels are approximated to each other.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to more strongly protect data to be distributed from being illegally plagiarized, and further, to add an electronic watermark function necessary to protect the copyright to all reproduction means apparatuses. In order to achieve the above-described objects, according to the present invention, data targeted for protection is encrypted, and an encryption key required for decrypting this encrypted data and reproduction control data for protecting the copyright are embedded in encrypted data through the use of the electronic watermark. Thus, when reproducing the data, the electronic watermark is detected, and the encryption key required for decrypting the cryptogram and the reproduction control data for protecting the copyright are restored. Through the use of the restored encryption key, the cryptogram is decrypted. Thus, through the use of the reproduction control data restored, the reproduction of the data targeted for protection is controlled.
