    Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a surface cleaning squeegee assembly and more specifically to a squeegee assembly mounted on a scrubber-dryer floor cleaning machine. The squeegee assembly includes a front squeegee having a number of spaced channels along a lower edge covered by seal flaps, and a rear squeegee having no channels. The front and rear squeegees define a vacuum chamber between them. Air, dirty water and surfactant are vacuumed into the vacuum chamber through the front squeegee channels for ultimate disposal. When the scrubber-dryer surface cleaning machine traverses over an uneven surface, the seal flaps close the channels to limit or eliminate any vacuum loss to the vacuum chamber.

    Abstract: An indoor/outdoor cleaning system includes a portable pressurized housing for containing cleaning fluids (water, chemicals, and mixtures thereof). Multiple hoses connect the interior of the housing with a cleaning wand. The wand includes a handle, a hollow trunk portion and a cleaning head. The multiple hoses have outlets adjacent the cleaning head for feeding water, cleaning chemicals, or surface treating fluids thereto. The outlets open adjacent a cleaning pad, which pad, which pad is attached to the cleaning head via a mechanism that allows the pad to move either in a linear or sinusoidal (rocking) motion or the combination of both motions thereof. A variety of cleaning pad accessories (brush, sponge, sanding pad, buffing pad, etc.) can be optionally attached to the cleaning pad based on the type of surface to be cleaned or treated. A suction conduit, disposed in the cleaning head, functions to draw used fluids away from the surface for safe disposal thereof.

    Abstract: A floor cleaning appliance has a brush head in which a brush roller is rotatably mounted and which has at least one suction nozzle which is disposed next to the brush roller. Further, the floor cleaning appliance has a shank which is mounted on the brush head in a pivotable manner and on which a suction unit is disposed, as is a cleaning liquid container for cleaning liquid which can be applied to the floor surface to be cleaned, and a dirty liquid container for accommodating dirty liquid which is sucked up from the floor surface by means of the suction unit, the cleaning liquid container and the dirty liquid container together forming a container assembly which is adapted to be releasably connected to the shank. In order to develop the floor cleaning appliance in such a way that it is easier to handle, it is proposed that the cleaning liquid container is adapted to be releasably connected to the dirty liquid container.
