摘要： According to the present disclosure an air cleaner and air filter cartridge arrangement is provided. The air filter cartridge is a removable and replaceable cartridge for use in the air cleaner. The cartridge includes, among other things, an end cap having a preferred outwardly directed radial seal and a groove. The air cleaner includes a housing with a stabilizing ring projecting into an interior, positioned to project at least partially into the groove of the filter cartridge, when the filter cartridge is mounted for use. Methods of assembly and installation are described.

摘要： Seals for filter elements having filter packs with seals around the periphery thereof adjacent to one of the faces are produced by injection molding the seal onto the filter pack using an ethylene-propyleneterpolymer (EPDM) thermoplastic material. Preferably, the thermoplastic material is embedded in polypropylene particles. The resulting seal has a contact portion which bends and/or compresses upon being engaged by a lid of a filter housing as the lid closes.

摘要： A process and apparatus for forming a seal between a filter cartridge wall and a pleated filter disposed within the cartridge having a support for rotating the cartridge. A nozzle is connected to a source of sealant for injecting sealant into an area between the wall of the cartridge and the filter media. A valve connected to the nozzle valves sealant to the nozzle and has a draw back feature after a desired amount of sealant is injected. The method for sealing the filter media to the wall of the cartridge includes rotating the filter cartridge while disposing a nozzle into the interior of the cartridge and injecting a sealant through the nozzle controlled by a valve. The valve draws flow backwardly from the nozzle at the termination of the injection of sealant.

Elongate adhesive sections are arranged along at least two adhesive tracks on the filter medium at the inflow face of the filter bellows and/or at the outflow face of the filter bellows. Strain-relief devices for compensating a length change of the at least two adhesive tracks in relation to the filter medium and/or to the seal are provided. A filter system is provided with such a filter element.

The second end plate may include an annular first seal bearing sealingly against the housing pot, an annular second seal bearing sealingly against the inner frame, and at least one of at least one first annular web and at least one second annular web. The first seal may be coupled on a free end side of the at least one first annular web. The second seal may be coupled on a free end side of the at least one second annular web.
