Abstract: Dispensers for liquids are provided having structure for containing a pool of liquid in the dispenser, to a predetermined level. A discharge chamber contains air above the level of liquid and a discharge device extends upwardly at least partly through the discharge chamber from below the level of the pool and has an external outlet. The discharge device includes a foamer chamber having a wall defining very small holes located above the pool level, and pressure means is coupled to the discharge chamber and operable to increase the pressure in the discharge chamber so that a pressure applied on the pool level drives liquid into the discharge device. Simultaneously air is forced through the small holes in the foamer chamber to meet the liquid passing through the foamer chamber where progressive foaming takes place before the resulting foam is forced through a discharge outlet.

Abstract: A squeezable dispenser having a main flexible outer container closed off by a top having an opening therein and an inner collapsible flexible fluid containing bladder. A one-way flow valve is mounted in the top normally closing off the opening in the top to prevent the contents of the bladder from contamination from external sources. A vent in the top provides fluid communication between the interior of the container and the exterior thereof. A sealing member overlies the valve and normally closes off the same. The dispenser can be squeezed to dispense liquid in the bladder out through the valve.

Abstract: A fragrance emitting unit which when hand actuated expels into the atmosphere a pulse of fragrance. Included in the unit is an air-filled container provided with a small jet opening, the container having a flexible wall which when depressed subjects the air in the container to pressure to cause a pulse of air to be expelled through the opening. Interposed between the jet opening and the interior of the container is an air-permeable, porous member impregnated with liquid fragrance whereby when the unit is first actuated, a pulse of air is forced through the member to extract fragrance therefrom to produce a fragrance mist that is discharged through the opening. When the wall is then released and seeks to resume its normal state, the resultant vacuum created within the container causes air to be drawn into the jet opening and to be forced through the member into the interior so that the charge of air in the container is now laden with fragrance. As a consequence, when the unit is again actuated, the mist expelled therefrom carries a high concentration of fragrance.

Abstract: The invention is directed to disposable dispensing apparatus having a generally triangular body, for dispensing a material therefrom. A stop is disposed within the body, and has a variable thickness. The stop is positioned so that a user of the apparatus may squeeze opposing sides of the body at varying points to dispense varying amounts of the material. Preferably, indicia, such as frets, are disposed on the exterior of the body, to advise the user of the amount of material dispensed by squeezing the body at varying points along the stop. In a preferred embodiment, the body includes a one-way valve for permitting the influx of ambient air into the body after the dispensing of material therefrom, thereby maintaining the volume within the body at a relatively constant level. In a second preferred embodiment, the apparatus further includes a removable nozzle for locating a precise location into which the material is deposited upon exiting the apparatus. The nozzle may include a second one-way valve for preventing reflux into the body.

Abstract: An expandable syringe comprising a bag having an opening through which liquid may pass. A closed end tubular valve stem projects outwardly from the bag opening and has an orifice in the side thereof in fluid communication with the interior of the bag. A nozzle has a female coupler sized to be movably mounted about the valve stem. The nozzle coupler has a valve seat against which the valve stem closed end may operationally engage in controlling the flow of liquid between the bag and nozzle. The bag may comprise a corrugated container or a shell having first and second openings and flexible pocket mounted to the shell sealing the first opening and sized for maneveur into and out of the shell through the first opening to displace liquid out of the shell. A nozzle or sprinkler cap may be detachably mounted to the shell over the second opening. Upon detachment of the nozzle or cap from the shell liquid may be introduced into the shell through the second opening thereby forcing the pocket to a position outside the shell. The nozzle or sprinkler cap may then be attached and the pocket squeezed into the shell thereby forcing the liquid out of the shell and nozzle. The sprinkler cap comprises a tubular member and an apertured sprinkler plate mounted therein having an elongated plate ledge. An articulated cover is joined to the tubular member at a joint aside the sprinkler plate. The cover has two sections hinged together along an elongated hinge parallel the plate ledge between the ledge and corner joint.
