    摘要: A saw guide device for the rapid and precise cutting of perpendicular notches in framing lumber using a portable circular saw. The device consists of an edge-of-board follower rail, a support arm, and a pivotally adjustable saw fence. Externally affixed to the saw fence are a horizontal cut locator arm and a saw stop tab. The locator arm has a cut alignment tang and a saw blade recess slot. The saw stop tab has a thumbscrew type adjuster. The device is positioned by the alignment tang, which drops into a previous cut. During operation the saw foot overruns the cut locator arm and is stopped by the tab. Thumbscrew type adjusters are located at each end of the follower rail to allow for variation in depth of the perpendicular notch. Various angular scales are marked on the upper surface of the follower rail to aid in saw fence setup.

A guide rail assembly is provided that defines a travel path for the tool slidably supported thereon. The support fixture is configured to support the tool assembly on a workpiece so that gravity can assist movement of the tool across the workpiece. The guide rail assembly is mounted on a miter plate that can be oriented at different miter angles relative to the support fixture. The tool may be supported on the guide rail assembly to permit pivoting of the tool perpendicular to the miter angle. Another assembly may be provided that permits pivoting of the guided rail assembly at an orthogonal angle.

    摘要: A miter apparatus is for making beveled cuts in a workpiece such as a board or the like. A base defines a seat for placing against an edge of the workpiece, and a guide member is pivotably attached to the base for adjustment to any desired angle of a beveled cut. Side surfaces of the guide member provide a bearing surface against which one side of a conventional handsaw may move to guide the saw while cutting the workpiece at the desired angle. A knob selectably secures the to guide member the base, and a surface on the knob provides an additional bearing surface for guiding the saw.

    摘要: A cutting guide for effecting straight accurate cuts along a workpiece includes a clamp, a saw guide pivotally coupled to the clamp and having a guiding edge for bearing support for a portion of the saw so as to guide the saw during the cutting operation of the workpiece, and a cutting template. The cutting template is cuttable so as to produce a template cutting edge on a first template portion and a second discard portion. The template cutting edge identifies the position of the guiding edge relative to a cut line for a specific saw and for a specific angled cut. The cutting template may be used to cut subsequent workpieces having the same cut configuration and using the same saw. A user may have a plurality of cutting templates, each having a different first template portion configuration.
