摘要: According to one embodiment, an image synthesis device for an electronic mirror includes a rear camera which obtains a first image from a first position, and a side camera which obtains a second image of the same direction with a view of the rear camera from a second position. The second image includes a view obstruction. When a part of the first image is connected as a complementary image to the view obstruction of the second image, an image processing device converts an image of the view obstruction into a translucent image, superimposes the complementary image on the translucent image, and obtains a third image which remains an outline of the complementary image.

摘要: A vision system of a vehicle includes a camera, a display unit and a controller. The camera is disposed at a vehicle and has a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The camera is operable to capture image data. The display unit includes a display screen disposed at a display area at a windshield of the vehicle. The display unit is electrically changeable from a non-display state to a display state. When the vehicle is being driven, the controller, responsive to a determination that the gaze of the driver of the vehicle is at the display area for a threshold period of time, changes the display unit from its non-display state to its display state. When in its display state, the display unit displays images at said display screen that are derived from captured image data.

摘要: A side rear view camera is located at a driver or passenger side of the vehicle, captures video beside and behind the vehicle, and has a predetermined field of view (FOV). The predetermined FOV is defined by a first predetermined horizontal angle of view (AOV) and a first predetermined vertical AOV. A display is located and visible within a passenger cabin of the vehicle. A display module, on the display: displays a first portion of the video from within a first predetermined portion of the predetermined FOV, the first predetermined portion of the predetermined FOV being defined by a second predetermined horizontal AOV and a second predetermined vertical AOV; and selectively displays a second portion of the video from within a second predetermined portion of the predetermined FOV, the second predetermined portion of the predetermined FOV being defined by a third predetermined horizontal AOV and a third predetermined vertical AOV.

摘要: The present invention is provided with: an outer housing configured from a housing having an opening, and a translucent cover closing the opening; a substrate disposed inside of the outer hosing; a camera module, which has an image pickup element, and is disposed on the substrate; and a light emitting element, which is provided as a light source, and is disposed on the substrate. Consequently, since the camera module and the light emitting element are disposed on the substrate that is disposed inside of the outer housing, the number of configuration components is small, thereby achieving reduction of the number of components, and size reduction.

摘要: A motor vehicle includes a horizontally oriented bed. A tailgate is pivotably attached to the bed. The tailgate is pivotable between an upright position and a horizontal position. A camera is pivotably attached to the tailgate. The camera has a field of view. An orientation sensor detects an orientation of the tailgate and/or the camera. An actuator pivots the camera relative to the tailgate. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the orientation sensor and to the actuator. The electronic processor receives a sensor signal from the orientation sensor. The electronic processor causes the actuator to pivot the camera dependent upon the sensor signal such that a field of view of the camera remains in a horizontal orientation throughout pivoting of the tailgate.

摘要: A method is provided for determining a position for a camera on an outer skin of a vehicle, the position being determined such that the camera can detect an object at a visual reference point behind the vehicle. The method identifies a lateral surface which, in an initial position, is parallel to an XZ plane of the vehicle at a lateral distance from a central x-axis of the vehicle, the lateral distance depending on a maximum width of the vehicle. The method identifies an axis of rotation for the lateral surface which is parallel to a z-axis of the vehicle and which extends through the visual reference point. The method determines a point of intersection of the lateral surface rotated, starting from the initial position, about the axis of rotation with the outer skin of the vehicle. The method determines the position for the camera based on the point of intersection.

Further, extra information to be displayed in addition to the driving information, and risk level information about a level of risk involved in the driving of the vehicle are acquired. When outputting the extra information to the display, a display time of displaying the extra information is set based on the risk level information and outputting of the extra information is controlled based on the set display time.
