Abstract:
The present invention deals with a method and system for producing services in the communication system of a building. In the method of the invention, the communication system comprises at least one terminal device applicable for local-area communication, at least one communication means, at least one server controlling the communication system, at least one base station for implementing a local-area network in the communication system, and a local network for implementing mutual data transfer between the said communication means, the said server controlling the communication system and the said base station. In the method, a number of service folders are generated in the terminal device and a service folder applicable to the purpose in each case is selected. From the selected service folder, a service request is selected which is transmitted from the terminal device to the communication system, where the service request is executed in one or more sub-stages using one or more communication means.
Abstract:
A method and a system for responding to a service request sent to a transportation service, determining one or more alternatives as a transportation device for the user and selecting a personal transportation device. An automated transportation system according to the invention comprises: an elevator group comprising a plurality of elevators, a passenger terminal device for reserving elevators for use by passengers, an elevator group control system responsive to the passenger terminal device for controlling the elevators. The method of the invention comprises the steps of: entering a personal service request via the terminal device, determining on the basis of the service request at least one alternative as a transportation device for the user, and selecting via the terminal device one of the alternatives as the transportation device.
Abstract:
The present invention deals with a method and apparatus for verifying destination calls needed in an elevator system. In the method of the invention, a person having entered a destination call is identified first on the floor level outside the elevator and again in the elevator car allocated to the person. The destination floor call received from a destination call device as well as starting floor information obtained from a detector used to identify the person having entered the call are transmitted to the elevator control system, which, based on the destination call, allocates an elevator to the person having entered the call. If the system identifies the person having entered the call when the person is in the elevator car, then the destination call is acknowledged in the system as executed. On the other hand, if the person having entered the call is not identified in the elevator car allocated to him/her, then the previously entered destination call is kept valid and a new elevator is allocated to the person having entered the call.
Abstract:
The present invention deals with a method and an apparatus for the input call needed in an elevator system by means of a wireless call input device. The call input device may be a device provided with a display and a keypad, designed especially for this use. In a preferred embodiment, the call input device is the user's mobile telephone and the system utilizes technology consistent with the Bluetooth standard. RFID technology or the use of bar codes is also possible. For the user a profile is created which contains the user's name, statistical information regarding the destination floors most frequently selected by the user, and possible additional services. The user can input a call from an elevator lobby before arriving to the elevator. After the system has allocated the most suitable elevator to the user, corresponding information is presented on the display of the call input device. This information can be accompanied by guidance information and information about an estimated waiting time. The destination floor alternatives can also be programmed to the call input device by the user him/herself. Additional services can be provided to the user of the call system and to other parties working in the building by connecting the control system to the Internet e.g. via an embedded mobile telephone.
Abstract:
A controller for a car/hall apparatus transfers an elevator operating program stored in a memory to an operating terminal through operating terminal communication unit and an operating terminal communication path, when necessary. The operating terminal which has received the elevator operating program executes this program to control an elevator car and a hoisting machine through the operating terminal communication path, the car/hall apparatus, a car/hall communication path, and a controlling apparatus.
Abstract:
An elevator user creates on a user terminal an individual user program, that is adapted to his needs, for operating the elevator. The user terminal can include a keypad for selecting commands and entering values, and a screen for displaying the command sequence. Depending upon authorization, the user can access the entire command set or only certain commands. The user program is transmitted to a terminal of an elevator control by wireless communication and proceeds to a program control which adds to the user program data required for execution and stores it in a memory. A task manager of the control program initiates the execution of the user program by an interpreter that interprets the program step by step. In the case of elevator-specific instructions such as, for example, travel commands or door opening commands, the interpreter calls up an interface that initiates the further execution by an elevator control.
Abstract:
A remote control device transmits a request for elevator service while a passenger is some distance from the elevator; the call may be assigned to an elevator car, but the car stops for that particular passenger only if the call is verified by the passenger approaching the immediate vicinity of the elevator. In one embodiment, tags identifying beacons that cause requests to be made remotely of, in proximity with, and within the elevator identify the location from where each request is made. In other embodiments, which may use key operated devices, limited-sensitivity receivers, or receivers with directional reception patterns, including overlapping patterns, may be utilized to distinguish between elevator call requests made remotely and made in the vicinity of the elevator. Other methods of verifying presence of the calling device at the elevator may be used.
Abstract:
A mobile communication system including operation management of traffic machines, includes mobile radio terminals for receiving predetermined communication data, and which can be carried by a user of mobile communication; at least one traffic machine for transporting the user having the terminals; an operation management element for managing operation of the traffic machine by operation management data which are generated from predetermined operation data; and a line management element for managing radio lines used by the terminals on the basis of any one of position data and position change data of the terminals.
Abstract:
A personal remote control device exchanges electromagnetic transmissions with an elevator system, each transmission including the identification number of the device, whereby requests for elevator service made by means of the device are unique to that device, and requests can be made by the device to cancel or change any request for elevator service which has previously been made. The remote control device may either be verbal, communicating with the user by means of speech synthesis and voice recognition, or the device may utilize switches, displays or other mechanisms for interaction with the user.
Abstract:
An identification system for a lift installation in which a lift user carries with him an information transmitter. The information transmitter communicates individual data, for example the weight of the lift user, to a recognition device, which files the data in a data bank. Lift users without information transmitters, so-called unauthorized travellers, are detected with the aid of a load-measuring device. A comparator compares the weight in a lift cage with the weight identified by means of the information transmitter to verify the identity of the lift user as the user to whom the information transmitter was assigned. In the case of agreement, a release signal issued to a lift control, which dispatches or otherwise permits operation of the lift cage.
