Abstract:
The object is to provide a yarn for use in setup, which allows knitted goods to be manufactured by weft knitting machines in such a manner that the yarn does not break or slip out of the knitting needles but forms regular stitches. The yarn for use in setup comprises an elastic yarn and fiber bundles with which the elastic yarn is covered or an elastic yarn and fiber bundles, which are twisted, each of the fiber bundles consisting of highly abrasion-resistant fibers having tensile strength.
Abstract:
A knit fabric is made of a combination of a corespun yarn having a core of a resilient continuous filament yarn covered by a cotton fiber and a cotton yarn. These yarns are knit together in such a manner that one side of the knit fabric exposes only one of the yarns while the other side of the knit fabric exposes the knit combination of both yarns. The knit fabric is easily and comfortably manipulated while posessessing improved mechanical properties such as strength, durability, and stretch and recovery.
Abstract:
A coated rubber cord comprising a core member coated with a woven cover material in the texture of which a single or a plurality of rubber strings are mixedly woven.
Abstract:
A garment including a leg (hose) portion, having increased uniformity of compressive force over a wider range of flexing. The hose is knitted conventionally from a bicomponent yarn, one component being an acid-dyeable hard fiber and the other component being a particular type of elastomeric polyurethane resistant to acid dyes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a covered elastic yarn with an elastic thread as a core yarn, and a continuous thermoplastic multifilament thread as a sheath yarn, wherein the respective filaments forming said covered elastic yarn are respectively tangled with each other to retain flux form, and at the same time to form the sheath-core system, and said sheath yarn wraps the outer periphery of said core yarn but is reversed irregularly and intermittently in said direction, and said sheath yarn and said core yarn are substantially twistless.
Abstract:
A spun yarn of a 100 percent elastic fiber or of an elastic fiber blended with a hard fiber. The yarn is prepared by stretching and heat setting a multifilament yarn or tow of the elastic fiber, stretch breaking, drawing, if necessary, and twisting. The blended yarn is prepared by, after the stretch breaking of the basic elastic fibers and before the drawing, blending with hard fiber roving. The yarn is prepared by employing a modified direct spinning machine equipped with top and bottom aprons in a stretch breaking zone between the back roll and the intermediate roll; the aprons being driven by the revolution of the intermediate roll.
