    摘要: Pipe cleaning apparatus is provided, including a compressed air supply unit, a liquid supply unit, and a control unit. The compressed air supply unit generates compressed air and supplies a target pipe to be cleaned with the generated compressed air. The liquid supply unit pumps a liquid and supplies the target pipe with the pumped liquid. The control unit controls the compressed air supply unit and the liquid supply unit to be alternately supplied with the compressed air and the pumped liquid at a predetermined interval. According to the pipe cleaning apparatus, since the target pipe is alternately supplied with the compressed air and the pumped liquid which have different compression and expansion ratios, the compressed air and the pumped liquid simultaneously undergo compression and expansion to then move forward. In addition, a force of oscillatory movement applied to sludge or scale deposited on the interior surface of the pipe and a movement rate are increased. Therefore, the removal efficiency of the sludge or scale can be improved.

    摘要: A method for removing pipe tuberculation includes the initial step of preparing an access point in the existing pipe by digging to the pipe and sawing a section from the pipe or creating an access port. The section of the pipeline to have its tuberculation removed is isolated by closing valves or creating another access point and sealing the end. Then, a reaming tool is introduced to the interior of the pipe. The reaming tool is attached to a hollow rod string capable of producing moderate thrust and pullback force, and must also produce sufficient torque when rotated. A horizontal directional drilling or “HDD” machine on the surface or in a pit dug out for this purpose applies the aforementioned forces to the rod string.

    摘要: A pipe cleaning tool comprises a rod slidably retained in a housing. Means for affixing the housing to a pipe in the area of the blockage are provided so that, when affixed, the rod slides through the housing and through the blocked pipe. The end of the rod is pushed into and through the blockage, allowing free flow of fluid through the pipe to resume. A blowout port on the housing is in fluid communication with a rod bore in the housing through which the rod slides so that, when the blockage is removed, fluid flows out through the rod bore and out the blowout port. Fluid flowing out through the blowout port can then be controlled and directed by coupling a hose to the blowout port. The pipe cleaning tool is particularly useful to remove blockages in the test cocks of backflow prevention valves.
