    摘要: A swash plate compressor includes a cylinder block having positioned therein a plurality of cylinders and a crank chamber. Each of a plurality of pistons has a head portion and a skirt portion. The head portion of the piston is slidably disposed within one of the cylinders. The skirt portion of the piston slidably abuts on an inside surface of the crank chamber, and by its action the pistons are prevented from nutating axes when the pistons are driven in a reciprocating motion within the cylinders upon rotation of the swash plate. The crank chamber has a truncated cone-shape, the inside diameter of which is reduced between a top dead center and a bottom dead center of the piston. The structure for the swash plate compressor according to this invention reduces vibration and noise caused by the nutation of the pistons.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a method for installing pistons in cylinder bores formed in a cylinder block of a compressor. The piston on one end of the cylinder block and a positioning jig on the other end of the cylinder block are arranged. The positioning jig is inserted into the cylinder bore such that part of the positioning jig protrudes from the cylinder bores toward the piston. The protruding part of the positioning jig is engaged with the piston to determine the position of the piston. The piston is inserted into the cylinder bore while maintaining the engagement between the jig and the piston. The positioning jig is removed from the cylinder bore. This facilitate automation of installation of pistons in cylinder bores.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to offer not only a compressor which is compact and reduced in weight, but also its piston whose neck portion is increased in strength at a time. A single-headed piston for a swash plate type compressor has a hollow head portion, a pair of engaged portions engaged with a swash plate, and a neck portion connected to the pair of the engaged portions at the outer peripheral side of the swash plate. The pair of the engaged portions sandwiches both of the outer peripheral end surfaces of the swash plate through a pair of hemispherical shoes. A pair of concave portions having a pair of concave spherical surfaces is formed on the surfaces facing each other of the pair of the engaged portions so as to receive a convex spherical surfaces of shoes slidably. The pair of concave portions have a common spherical center. The spherical center is positioned on the plane which includes the central axis of the head portion and is parallel in the extending direction of the pair of the engaged portions, and is positioned deviatedly to the opposite side (to the radially inner side of the compressor) to the neck portion from the central axis of the head portion. It is desired that the spherical center is positioned deviatedly to the radially inner side of the compressor by equal to or greater than {fraction (1/30)} of the diameter of the head portion. The thickness of the neck portion is increased, and the bending strength of the neck portion is improved. In addition, the diameter of the swash plate is to be compact. Therefore, the compressor is reduced in weight, and is improved in its durability.

The guide passage is defined in the compression chamber when the piston is located at the top dead center position. This decreases pressure losses that would otherwise occur when the piston is near the top dead center position.

    摘要: A piston for use in a compressor that compresses gas containing lubricating oil is disclosed. The compressor has a crank chamber and cylinder bores for accommodating the pistons. A swash plate is located in the crank chamber and is supported on a drive shaft for integrally rotating with the drive shaft. The swash plate is operably connected to the pistons by shoes to convert the rotation of the drive shaft to reciprocation of each piston. Each piston has a head for compressing the gas supplied to the cylinder bore and a skirt projecting from the head toward the crank chamber. The skirt has a slot for receiving the swash plate by means of the shoes. A rib is formed on an inner wall of the slot and extends parallel to the axis of the piston. When the swash plate rotates, swirling gas in the crank chamber collides against the rib. When the gas collides against the rib, the oil contained in the gas separates from the gas and is guided to the shoes.
