Abstract: Methods and systems provide for providing a virtual background within a communication session using dynamic chroma key reframing. In one embodiment, a method displays a user interface including at least one video feed corresponding to a participant of the communication session. The method receives a request to enable a selected or provided virtual background using chroma keying. The method then determines a background layer of the video feed. The method also determines edges for the background layer. Next, the method crops and reframes the video feed around the edges of the background layer. The method then removes the background layer from the video feed, and adds the selected or provided virtual background to the background layer of the video feed. Finally, the method displays the video feed within the communication session.

The use of an implicit spatial deformation field estimation model solves the problem that the subject has small motion in the process of collecting data with a single mobile phone; the implicit signed distance field is used to represent human geometry, which has rich expressive ability and improves the accuracy of three-dimensional human model reconstruction.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems that can render a virtual object in a digital image by using a source-specific-lighting-estimation-neural network to generate three-dimensional (“3D”) lighting parameters specific to a light source illuminating the digital image. To generate such source-specific-lighting parameters, for instance, the disclosed systems utilize a compact source-specific-lighting-estimation-neural network comprising both common network layers and network layers specific to different lighting parameters. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems further train such a source-specific-lighting-estimation-neural network to accurately estimate spatially varying lighting in a digital image based on comparisons of predicted environment maps from a differentiable-projection layer with ground-truth-environment maps.
