    摘要: An optical cable connection box with an auxiliary device for gap filling and waterproofing is provided. The connection box includes a cable accessing end face, an auxiliary device for gap filling and waterproofing and an elastic shrinkable tube. The end face has a first hollow tubular column, and an optical cable to be waterproof processed by the elastic shrinkable tube passes therethrough as a dual cable after face to face bending, so that cable halfway splitting and halfway branching can be processed in the box without cutting off the cable. The auxiliary device cooperates with the optical cable in the hollow column, formerly a first waterproof structure where the auxiliary device is wrapped by the elastic shrinkable tube. At least the outside of the first hollow column and at least a portion of the auxiliary device are also wrapped by the elastic shrinkable tube forming a second waterproof structure.

The lower portion may include a bowl region having an upper rim. The lower portion may also include flexible tabs that substantially surround or completely surround the upper rim. Each of the flexible tabs may extend outwardly or downwardly from the upper rim. The upper portion may have a lower rim that extends below the outer edges of each of the flexible tabs when the upper portion is engaged to the lower portion. The upper portion may contact each of the flexible tabs when the upper portion is engaged to the lower portion. The apparatus may include a securing member extending downwardly from the lower portion to secure the apparatus to a resting surface.

    摘要: A grade level enclosure conversion assembly adapted for converting a pedestal housing between a flush-to-grade and an above-ground pedestal installation. The base of the pedestal housing carries a plug removably mounted to a swing-arm in the grade level enclosure. The swing-arm holds the pedestal assembly in a stored position in the flush-to-grade installation, containing wiring for service connections. To convert to the above-ground installation, a solid grade level cover plate lid is removed, and the pedestal assembly is rotated on the swing arm to a raised position from which it can be removed from the swing-arm (along with the wiring) and fed through an access opening in a separate cover plate lid. The plug on the pedestal housing is then positioned in the access opening to hold the pedestal assembly in the above-ground position. A series of separate fiber optic splice connections, or other underground utility service connections, can be made when rotating the pedestal between the stored position and the above-ground position.
