Abstract:
A server includes memory, a registration request receiver, a first determiner, and a first memory controller. The memory stores device identification information and service identification information in association with each other. The registration request receiver receives from an external device, a registration request including first service identification information and specific device identification information. The first service identification information identifies a first service to be provided to a user of a specific communication device. The specific device identification information identifies the specific communication device. In response to the registration request received from the external device, the first determiner determines whether to provide the first service to the user of the specific communication device. In response to a determination to provide the first service, the first memory stores the first service identification information in the memory in association with the specific device identification information.
Abstract:
A read unit of a scanner device reads the information fixed to a medium by printing. A transmission control unit executes the control of transmitting, to a server, the information of the medium acquired in the form of digital image data. An information acquisition unit acquires the information transmitted from a shredder. An information management unit stores the information acquired by the information acquisition unit in an acquired information database in such a way as to be identified as the information of the medium so as to be managed to be capable of being read out as the information of the medium. An information readout unit acquires a readout indication transmitted from an observer terminal. Then, the information readout unit reads the information of the medium out of the acquired information database via the information management unit.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes a system and method to manage image file storage that includes a memory device to store instructions and at least one processing device to execute the instructions stored in the memory device to determine a blur indication or a burst characteristic for each of a plurality of files stored on a storage medium, automatically identify candidate image files to delete based at least in part on the blur indication or the burst characteristic, and delete at least some of the candidate image files based on receiving a delete indication.
Abstract:
This disclosure is directed to systems and methods for the delivery and maintenance of faxes where the faxes may remain at a faxing system for a minimal amount of time. The faxing system may send a queued fax to a connector responsive to a request from the connector to pull or retrieve a fax. The connector is configured to send a release notification to the faxing system after the fax is received. The faxing system is configured to delete the queued fax as soon as confirmation of the delivery of the fax can be determined or when an expiration time has elapsed.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a state management unit that shifts an authentication state from a non-login state to a login state, a storage unit that stores setting information, and a data management unit that, in a case where a free space of the storage unit is less than a threshold value, deletes the setting information stored in the storage unit at a timing of shifting from the non-login state to the login state and secure a free space greater than or equal to the threshold value in the storage unit.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is provided, including an image forming mechanism which executes a printing process; an object data memory which stores image data as an object of the printing process when a printing instruction is received; a re-formation condition memory which stores a type of a printing function and whether or not image data is an object of image re-formation in correlation with each other; an object judging mechanism which judges whether or not the image data as a source of the image formation is the object of the image re-formation; and a data deleting mechanism which deletes the image data as the source of the image formation from the object data memory if the image data as the source of the image formation is not the object of the image re-formation.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a document box, a communication unit, a console unit, a referencing entity management table, and a control unit. The console unit accepts a delete operation of inputting a delete instruction to delete document data stored in the document box. The referencing entity management table allows information about another image forming apparatus referencing document data stored in the document box to be registered therein as referencing entity information. The control unit determines whether or not the document data to be deleted designated by the delete instruction input by the delete operation is referenced by another image forming apparatus, based on the referencing entity management table. The control unit, if the document data to be deleted is referenced by another image forming apparatus, causes the communication unit to transmit the document data to be deleted to the another image forming apparatus based on the referencing entity information.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus stores historical data including cover data and document data having been transmitted, in a storage unit and manages the historical data. In a case where cover setting information is set for retransmitting the stored historical data including the cover data and the document data, if it is determined that the cover data included in the historical data is usable based on the historical data and the cover setting information having been set for the retransmission, the information processing apparatus invalidates the cover setting information having been set for the retransmission and instructs retransmitting the historical data. According to the retransmission instruction, the cover setting information having been set for the retransmission is invalidated and transmission processing is performed using the historical data.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a storage part storing a plurality of job data, an output part outputting a job of the job data and a job data erasion controlling part configured to overwrite and delete a previously output job data output from the output part. The job data erasion controlling part overwrites and deletes the previously output job data in an idle time other than a time at which the storage part is read and/or written when the job is output, and then, if the storage part has a free space area having a capacity larger than a predetermined capacity, the output job data is overwritten and deleted in descending order of data size, and if the storage part has a free space area having a capacity smaller than the predetermined capacity, the output job data is overwritten and deleted in ascending order of data size.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus converts image data into a video signal, updates a value of a counter without loading the image data onto a video memory, if a print request is a single-sided print request and the image data corresponding to a page information included in the print request is stored on the video memory, and loads the image data corresponding to the page information in the print request onto the video memory, if the print request is a double-sided print request, or if the print request is the single-sided print request and the image data corresponding to the page information included in the print request is not stored on the video memory.
