    摘要: A thin battery is configured with improved durability of foil-like electrode terminals. The thin battery has an electricity-generating element housed inside a battery outer casing with a pair of electrodes of the electricity-generating element being connected to electrode terminals that extend out from the outer edges of the battery outer casing. The electrode terminals have a base portion located partially with the battery outer casing and a tip portion spaced from the battery outer casing with strength transition point being formed between the base portions and the tip portions. The strength transition points of the electrode terminals are positioned to the outside at some distance away from the outer edge of the battery outer casing.

    摘要: An active manganese dioxide electrode material that exhibits improved electrochemical performances compared with conventional manganese dioxide materials includes at least one dopant. The doped manganese dioxide electrode materials may he produced by a wet chemical method (CMD) or may be prepared electrolytically (EMD) using a solution containing manganese sulfate, sulfuric acid, and a dopant, wherein the dopant is present in an amount of at least about 25 ppm.

    摘要: An electric storage alkaline battery comprising an electrically neutral alkaline ionic conductor, an anode and a cathode, whereby electric storage is accomplished via electrochemical reduction of the cathode and oxidation of the anode. The cathode contains a known alkaline cathode material such as either MnO2, NiOOH, AgO or HgO and an amount of at least 1% of a fluorinated, polymer graphite, and wherein the cathode has a discharge capacity greater than the conventional cathode storage capacity of the known cathode material.

    摘要: A reverse configuration, lithium thin film battery (300) having a buried lithium anode layer (305) and process for making the same. The present invention is formed from a precursor composite structure (200) made by depositing electrolyte layer (204) onto substrate (201), followed by sequential depositions of cathode layer (203) and current collector (202) on the electrolyte layer. The precursor is subjected to an activation step, wherein a buried lithium anode layer (305) is formed via electroplating a lithium anode layer at the interface of substrate (201) and electrolyte film (204). The electroplating is accomplished by applying a current between anode current collector (201) and cathode current collector (202).
