摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) having partially coherent antennas may be configured for simultaneous transmissions on groups of antennas. To achieve the benefits of simultaneous transmissions using groups of antenna that are partially coherent, without having the transmissions affect each other, the UE may apply a hybrid closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme among each antenna in the antenna groups where phase coherence can be maintained Following the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, the UE may apply a transparent diversity scheme across each antenna of the groups. Alternatively, the UE may first apply the transparent diversity scheme and next apply the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme. By applying a hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, and a transparent diversity scheme, the UE may fully realize its resources and contribute to an improved spatial diversity for a MIMO system.

摘要: A method for detecting swapped antenna sectors in a cellular communications network. For each of one or more cells in the cellular communications network, an azimuth is estimated for each of two or more antenna sectors in the cell using a plurality of geo-located signal measurements for each antenna sector and a machine-learning algorithm. The estimated azimuths are compared to azimuths associated with the corresponding antenna sectors in a stored representation of the cellular communications network, to detect swapped antenna sectors in the cell.

摘要: Methods, media, and systems are provided for a priority-based multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) pairing threshold for codebook beamforming. The methods, media, and systems identify a plurality of user device candidates for a user device pairing. A first user device of the plurality of user device candidates having a higher priority than another user device of the plurality of user device candidates is identified. A correlation of the first user device with a second user device of the plurality of user device candidates is determined to be below a threshold. Based on determining that the correlation is below the threshold, the first user device is paired with the second user device for sharing a resource.

摘要: This application provides a full-duplex communication method and an apparatus. The method includes: when sending a first signal to a first device by using a first transmit sector, receiving, by a third device by using a first receive sector, a second signal sent by a second device. A coverage area of the third device in a receiving direction may be divided into at least one receive sector, the at least one receive sector forms one receive sector group, and the third device may receive the second signal by using the first receive sector that is in the receive sector group and that is different from the first transmit sector. In this way, the third device can simultaneously receive a signal and send a signal by using different sectors, to implement full-duplex transmission, and reduce mutual interference between signal sending and signal receiving, thereby improving communication quality of the full-duplex transmission.

摘要: A method and apparatus may be used to support coordinated and cooperative sectorized transmissions. Power control and clear channel assessment for sectorized transmissions may be used, along with sectorized beacon and associated procedures. Transmissions in a network may be protected by a first access point (AP) sending an omni-directional transmission and a beamformed or sectorized transmission to a station (STA), an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) confirming a spatially orthogonal (SO) condition based on the omni-directional transmission, and a second AP monitoring the omni-directional transmission and confirming the SO condition. The STA may be configured to receive a request-to-send (RTS) frame indicating data is available for transmission, and transmit a cooperative sectorized (CS) clear-to-send (CTS) frame indicating an ability for multiple AP reception.

摘要: A reception-side apparatus includes: M receive antennas; and a processor configured to execute a first process of acquiring a first signal received from a first transmission-side apparatus from among signals simultaneously received from the N transmission-side apparatuses by receive diversity processing, and acquiring first data by demodulating and decoding the first signal. In the case of N>M, the processor acquires, for each of all patterns of a combination of a first signal, second signals from M-1 transmission-side apparatuses which are to be cancelled by receive diversity processing and third signals from N-M transmission-side apparatuses which are not to be cancelled by the receive diversity processing, a power ratio of power of the first signal relative to total power of the second and third signals based on a predetermined weight and a channel estimate of each signal, and selects a combination with the largest power ratio from among all the patterns.

In a case where, in the PHY frame including the short Sector Sweep frame, a Direction field of the short Sector Sweep frame indicates Initiator Sector Sweep, the PHY frame generating circuit replaces a Short Sector Sweep Feedback field indicating a number of a selected best short Sector Sweep with a Short Scrambled Basic Service Set ID field indicating an abbreviated address generated from an address of a destination communication apparatus.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for generating cell-specific signals using an antenna array with dual-polarized antenna elements. A method is performed by a network device. The method comprises obtaining antenna weights for two sector-specific signals, each sector-specific signal giving rise to a respective sector-specific radiation pattern. The method comprises generating a first cell-specific signal, the first cell-specific signal giving rise to a first cell-specific radiation pattern, wherein antenna weights for the first cell-specific signal are determined such that the radiation pattern matches both sector-specific radiation patterns. The method comprises generating a second cell-specific signal, the second cell-specific signal giving rise to a radiation pattern identical to the first cell-specific radiation pattern, wherein antenna weights for the second cell-specific signal are identical to the antenna weights for the first cell-specific signal except that the first cell-specific signal and the second cell-specific signal have mutually orthogonal polarization.
