摘要: Systems and methods for assessing fluids from a patient are disclosed. The system includes a receptacle including an inlet port, an outlet port, and a third port; a valve system in fluidic communication with the receptacle; and one or more features in the receptacle to aid in optical imaging of fluids. The system has a fill mode and a flush mode. In the fill mode, the valve system directs suction from a vacuum source through the third port into the receptacle, thereby drawing fluid through the inlet port into the receptacle. In the flush mode, the valve system directs suction from the vacuum source through the outlet port, thereby drawing fluid through the outlet port out of the receptacle. Fluid-related information such as, for example, concentration of a blood component, may be estimated based on images of fluids in the receptacle.

摘要: A gait state measurement device measures a gait state of a subject who is walking on a walking surface formed on a belt that runs along a circulation track. The gait state measurement device includes an acquisition unit, a position estimation unit, and a warning control unit. The acquisition unit acquires measurement information of a load distribution sensor that detects the load of the subject through the belt. The position estimation unit estimates the position of the sole of the subject based on the measurement information. The warning control unit performs a different type of warning depending on a relationship between the position of the sole of the subject and each of target areas that are defined according to an installation area of the load distribution sensor.

摘要: A person support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, or the like, includes an exit detection system that utilizes an occupant motion parameter to determine whether to issue an alert or not. The motion parameter may be based on the weight and motion of the occupant. Successive positions of the occupant are determined in order to calculate a velocity of the occupant. In some embodiments, the kinetic energy of the occupant is used to determine if an alert should be issued. Objects positioned on the person support apparatus may also be detected and tracked. Auto-zeroing of a built-in scale, as well as automatic recognition of the removal, movement, and/or addition of objects is also provided.

摘要: Methods and systems for planning a joint replacement surgical procedure are disclosed. A musculoskeletal model for a patients joint and patient biometric data are received. A joint distraction device is positioned in the patients joint during the joint replacement surgical procedure, and the position and orientation of the joint distraction device are tracked as the patient's joint is moved through a range of motion in order to determine a magnitude of a force applied to the joint distraction device. A surgical plan for performing the joint replacement surgical procedure is provided based on the magnitude of the force applied throughout the range of motion, the musculoskeletal model, and the patient biometric data. The surgical plan includes implant position information, bone resection information, and/or ligament balancing information.
