摘要： Device for handling flexible packages, of the type used in horizontal packing machines that are used to form packets from a heat-sealable complex sheet, fill them with the product to be packed and heat-seal the openings when they are full. The device includes scissors for cutting the packets that are formed continuously from the complex sheet, a packet-lifting mechanism and a revolving mechanism that moves horizontally. The revolving mechanism consists of a moving chain, and several sets of carrying clips that are attached horizontally to the outer sides of the chain. The carrying clips pick up the packets supplied by the lifting clips at a collection station, move them horizontally through the packing machine filling and sealing stations and finally release them at a packet release station.

摘要： A packaging machine and process for loading bags of a novel web of side connected bags are disclosed. The web is fed through a bagger section by a pair of grooved main transport belts and a pair of lip transport belts each disposed in the groove of the associated main belt to trap bag lips in the grooves. Adjustable belt spreaders space reaches of the transport belts as they move through a load station whereby to sequentially open the bags into rectangular configurations. A closure section in the form of a novel and improved heat sealer is releasably connectable to the bagger section. The sections are adjustable together between horizontal and vertical orientations. Processes of opening, closing and sealing side connected bags are also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus, automated system and method for packaging food products. The system has a novel arrangement for transferring the product from a receiving station to a bagging station which arrangement includes mechanical devices for pulling a bag over the product. The system further includes a unique platen system for transporting the bagged product to various stations where it is vacuumized, sealed, trimmed, and finished. Optionally, the system includes a plurality of needles for injecting a fluid such as a basting fluid into the product.

摘要： An ice bagger comprises an ice maker, an ice bagging unit which includes an automatic sanitation system, and a merchandiser. The ice maker delivers particulate ice into a hopper housed within the ice bagging unit. The ice bagging unit includes a bag carrier which retrieves a bag from a bag supply and opens the bag underneath a delivery chute communicating with the hopper via an auger. A scale supports the bag during its filling to measure the weight of the ice delivered into the bag from the hopper. When the scale registers the desired amount of ice, the auger ceases to deliver ice from the hopper into the delivery chute. The ice bagging unit further includes a sealer arm and heating element wherein, after the bag is filled, the sealer arm pivots to detach the bag from the bag carrier and force both sides of the open end of the bag against the heating element. The heating element then activates to seal the bag closed. Once the bag has been closed, the scale pivots to deliver the sealed bag of ice into the merchandiser while the sealer arm raises to its original position. The above cycle then repeats to fill another bag with ice. Additionally, the ice bagger further comprises a sanitizing system which periodically activates to sanitize the hopper.

摘要： A high speed bag filling machine utilizing a tiltable spout for attaching a bag in a tilted position and reversing the tilting motor to move the spout and bag over a conveyor. A vertically movable transfer carriage comprises a front forming bar and a pair of horizontally rotatable rotor arms. The bar and rotors clamp the filled bag, lower it to a conveyor, and discharge it. The forming bar then swings forward and upward to clear the rotor arms, which rotate forwardly beneath it to permit the next bag to enter the clamping area. The forming bar then swings down to engage the front face of the bag and the rotor arms continue their rotation to engage the rear face of the bag. The forming bar and rotor arms may include endless belts driven to discharge the bag.

摘要： An adjustment and automatic inward-contraction and outward-expansion machanism, and particularly a single mechanism that provides the function of variable specification adjustment as well as automatic inward-contraction and outward-expansion of the claw arms during operation is described. The mechanism includes a worm provided for driving the worm gear and other related devices in rotation so that a cylindrical groove cam is engaged in motion up and down. With the cylindrical groove cam in motion up and down and further by means of L-type steering block, push and pull rod and four-bar linkage, claws are provided for specification adjustment. During the operation of the machine and when the roller of the plunge rod under L-type steering block is in rotation along the groove of the cylindrical groove cam, due to the undulations of groove, the plunge rod is in motion up and down and causes the contraction and expansion of the claw arms by means of the L-type steering block, the push and pull rod and the four-bar linkage, so as to meet the requirement of expanding the mouth of the bag and the operations prior to the sealing treatment. The present mechanism not only can adjust the distance between the claw arms subject to the specification of the bag directly by means of the worm but also can perform the function of automatic contraction and expansion of the claw arms when the bag is properly located at a specific position so as to cooperate with the external structure for the preformance of expanding the mouth of the bag, charging the bags and the thermal sealing treatment.
