摘要: A ceiling system in one embodiment includes first grid support members arranged in parallel spaced apart relationship. A pair of elongated lighting support members is arranged in parallel with the first grid support members. The lighting support members are spaced apart and define an axially elongated lighting opening. A lighting spacer bracket is connected between and supports the lighting support members from an overhead building support structure. In one embodiment, the bracket is configured to define a downwardly open cavity for at least partially receiving a lighting module therein. A lighting module is positioned in the lighting opening and supported by the lighting support members. In one embodiment, the lighting module may be a digital linear lighting module.

摘要: A bar hanger member is provided. The bar hanger member is for assembling with another like-member by superposition thereon to form a bar hanger for supporting recessed luminaires. The bar hanger member includes: an elongated body having a front face and a rear face; a channel extending through the body along the lengthwise axis; and first and second protrusions extending from the body aligned with the channel. The first and second protrusions are sized and shaped for slidable engagement with the channel of the like-member. When the bar hanger is assembled with the like-member, the second protrusion of the bar hanger engages in the channel of the like-member and the first protrusion of the like-member engages in the channel of the bar hanger member.

摘要: A lighting system for ceiling grid systems advantageously uses a grid member designed to cooperate with a strip light to secure the strip light generally aligned beneath the grid system. The grid system can be initially installed with the cooperating grid members at specified locations. The strip lights can then be installed to the grid system. This arrangement simplifies installation particularly installations in commercial type spaces and larger scale architectural projects.

摘要: A combined wooden frame support and ceiling system is provided, each support including upper and lower wooden chords and a wooden structure connecting the lower chord to the upper chord for weight bearing purposes. A gypsum wallboard batten strip is attached to the lower chord, and defining a ledge extending from each side of the lower chord. A single thickness of gypsum wallboard panels is used to create a ceiling attached to the support, each panel used to create the ceiling is made from a slurry composition including less than 5% by weight of Grade 4 vermiculite. Upon the support being assembled in the ceiling system, with a plurality of the supports, and having lengths of insulation supported by the ledges of the adjacent supports, the ceiling system resists charring by fire for at least one hour.

摘要: An integrated ceiling and light system that incorporates a light module into a ceiling tile. The system may include a grid support system suspended from an overhead support structure that includes at least one grid support element and first and second ceiling tiles supported by the grid support element in an adjacent manner. A nesting cavity may be formed into the first and second ceiling tiles such that a light module may be disposed within the nesting cavity and coupled to the first and second ceiling tiles. The ceiling tiles may be of the type that conceals the grid support element on which it is supported. In one alternative embodiment, the light module and a nesting region of the ceiling tile may include corresponding edge profiles to facilitate mating therebetween to enable coupling of the light source to the ceiling tile.
