    摘要: TDCs for converting time periods to digital values are disclosed. An example TDC includes a ring oscillator and a residue generation circuit. Each stage of the residue generation circuit is configured to operate on outputs from two different stages of the ring oscillator. The TDC further includes a counter for counting the number of times that an output of one of the stages of the ring oscillator switches between being at a first signal level and being at a second signal level during a time period that is being converted to a digital value. The TDC also includes a combiner for generating the digital value by combining a value indicative of the number of times counted by the counter and an output of the residue generation circuit. Such a TDC may have relatively low area and low power consumption compared to the conventional TDC designs, while yielding sufficiently linear behavior.

The system can include an input wheel intended to be driven by a drive member; an output wheel intended to drive at least one display member; an intermediate wheel continuously kinematically connected to the input wheel or the output wheel, where the intermediate wheel changes between a coupled state where the input wheel is kinematically connected to the output wheel and an uncoupled state where the kinematic connection is broken. The system also includes a first friction wheel constrained to rotate with the intermediate wheel and a second friction wheel constrained to rotate with either the input wheel and the output wheel; a first safety wheel constrained to rotate with said intermediate wheel that includes a first set of safety teeth; and a second safety wheel constrained to rotate with the second wheel that includes a second set of safety teeth.

    摘要: A time-to-digital convertor comprises a phase frequency detector, a first conversion module, a gated ring oscillator and a counting module. The phase frequency detector outputs a first detection signal and a second detection signal according to a first clock signal and a second clock signal. The first conversion module receives the first detection signal and the second detection signal to generate a first control signal and a second control signal. The gated ring oscillator receives the first and second control signals and outputs a plurality of clock signals according to the pulse width difference between the first and second control signals. The counting module counts the plurality of clock signals to generate the phase difference between the first and second clock signals.

    摘要: A resistor-capacitor (RC) sensor circuit of an electronic device is driven to a drive voltage using a representative copy of a current that drives an electronic circuit line of the electronic device. The RC sensor circuit is to sample voltages that are indicative of an RC time constant of the electronic circuit line. A first sample voltage is determined by sampling a first representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a first time period. A second sample voltage is determined by sampling a second representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a second time period. A ratio of the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage is indicative of the RC time constant of the electronic circuit line.
