    摘要: A passive infrared intrusion detector for the detection of infrared body radiation includes a sabotage detector, in particular for detecting spraying of the entrance window of the intrusion detector. The sabotage detector includes a light source, a corresponding light sensor, and an optical diffraction grating structure on the outside of the entrance window. The light source and the light sensor can be on the same or on opposite sides of the entrance window. By first- or higher-order diffraction, light from the light source is focused onto the sensor, and a resulting electrical signal from the sensor is evaluated by an evaluation circuit. In case of sabotage, the focusing effect of the optical diffraction grating structure vanishes, so that the light intensity at the detector is reduced. The drop in light intensity triggers a sabotage alarm signal.

    摘要: A pressure sensitive perimeter intrusion detector comprises at least two pressure sensitive housing members adapted for the transmission of acoustic waves in response to pressure applied to the exterior of the housing members. Each housing member is capable of providing a first electric signal in response to seismic waves or ground vibrations. In addition, distributed along the housing members are pressure-sensing elements for detecting pressure applied along the housing members. These pressure-sensing elements for each housing member provide a second electric signal having substantially no time delay. The first and second electric signals are transmitted to an evaluation circuit adapted to produce an alarm signal in response to the detection of an intrusion occurrence.

    摘要: In an alarm system with a number of alarm devices such as fire intrusion alarm devices connected to a signal center, upper and a lower thresholds are defined in the alarm devices, with the inactive value of the sensor output signal located between the threshold limits. The alarm devices transmit one of three indication signals to the signal center depending on whether an alarm sensor output is above an upper limit, below a lower limit or between the upper and lower limits, with these alarm state signals being produced by threshold detectors. Also, it is possible to adjust the two threshold limits of the alarms to compensate for changing ambient conditions over extended periods of time. When the sensor output signal reaches one of the upper or lower thresholds both the upper and lower threshold limits either move up or down, respectively, so that the sensor output signal is once again located between the upper and lower threshold limits. The signal center receives the outputs of the threshold detectors and differentiates between five different states, namely the alarm states "normal," "warning," "alarm," "maintenance" and "malfunction", on the basis of the frequency and the type of these signals.

For testing the ultrasonic alarm installation the emitted ultrasonic waves are modulated by a plurality of modulation frequencies in the range of the frequency shifts effective for triggering the alarm signal. Thus, the function test can be carried out using the same electrical evaluation circuit as for generating the alarm signal. The plurality of modulation frequencies conjointly with the switch-off of the transmitter signal has the effect that the reflected signals, which arrive at the ultrasonic receiver with different phase relationships, are not vectorially added to the ultrasonic transmitter signal to yield zero, so that a reliable function control is always ensured. Furthermore and for determining changes in the monitored region, the time decay of the modulation-caused signal is compared with a reference signal in the electrical evaluation circuit after switch-off of the modulation signal.

    摘要: An infrared intrusion detector having a predetermined number of rows of radiation reception zones comprises a primary reflector and a secondary reflector for each row of radiation reception zones. The primary reflectors and their associated secondary reflectors form a folded radiation path. The folded radiation path allows for compact construction and simple manufacturing of the infrared intrusion detector.
