    摘要: A disc brake is disclosed which includes a U-shaped fixed support straddling a rotary disc and two pads supported by an axial pin attached to said support at one radial and thereof. Clamping means are associated with the fixed support to apply the pads against the respective faces of the disc. The pin is located at the outside of the periphery of the disc, and two radial abutting surfaces are provided on each arm of said radial end of the support. These abutting surfaces are situated on each side of a plane passing by the pin and perpendicular to the radial plane passing by the pin for permitting each of the pads to anchor by one of its radial edges on one or the other of the abutting surfaces, according to the direction of disc rotation. Each pad comprises a lug extending radially at the outside of the periphery of the disc along said radial edge, the pin extending through this lug.

    摘要: The invention relates to an operating device for a vehicle braking system comprising a master-cylinder and a set of wheel brakes. The device comprises a hydraulic portion having an annular boost piston and a mechanical portion connected to an energy accumulator device having a coil spring. The mechanical portion includes two pivoting arms, one of which being a lever cooperative with said boost piston by the intermediary of a push rod. The lever rotates around a pivot fixed to the support of the device and is pivotally secured to the other arm which consists of a link provided with a sliding pivot secured to another push rod biased by the energy accumulator device. The sliding pivot comprises a roller moving between two plane surfaces upon rotation of the two arms. The structure of the mechanical portion being such that, upon a checkwise rotation of the link, the energy accumulator device is unlocked when the axis of pivotment joining the link to the lever passes through the plane comprising the fixed and sliding pivots.

    摘要: An antiskid device for a vehicle-braking system having an electronic sensing unit selectively controlling the operation of an actuating unit formed of two components. Once the braking pressure has been applied to the braking system, one of the components is selectively activated to isolate the brake pedal from the braking system between one instant corresponding to a predetermined threshold of wheel deceleration and another instant substantially corresponding to the end of the wheel acceleration period which follows the wheel deceleration period while the other component is selectively activated to progressively release the pressure in the braking system to a certain value between said one instant corresponding to said predetermined threshold of wheel deceleration and still another instant corresponding to a second predetermined threshold of wheel deceleration which is closed to the point of zero deceleration (or acceleration), the pressure in the isolated braking system being maintained to the said value until the instant substantially corresponding to the end of the wheel acceleration period which follows the wheel deceleration period, i.e. until the moment where the brake foot pedal may become again operative and may generate, due to the deceleration of the wheel, a succeeding operating cycle.

    摘要: A drum brake is disclosed which includes a lever pivotally attached to one of the shoes. The lever has a hooked end which is attached to one end of a return spring which is stretched between the shoes. A cam member is rotatably mounted on the one shoe and includes an eccentric mounted thereon which engages a slot in the lever. Rotation of the cam member moves the lever from a first position in which the return spring is relaxed to a second position in which the spring is stressed to exert a force on the shoes. The cam member is accessible from the exterior of the brake so that an appropriate tool may be used to rotate the cam member.
