    摘要: An active filter used for the loop filter of a phase-lock loop has one input to the operational amplifier thereof connected to receive the output from a phase detector, and has the non-inverting input connected to receive a control signal from an override signal generator. Under normal operating conditions, the output from the override signal generator is such that it does not affect operation of the active filter and the filter operates as a standard loop filter. During abnormal operating conditions the output signal from the override signal generator is of such magnitude that it causes the operational amplifier and, hence, the filter to output the maximum voltage +V. The filter output is connected to one end of a pair of serially connected resistors which have the node connected to the control voltage input of the voltage control oscillator. The other end of the serially connected resistors is connected to the collector of a transistor. The emitter of the transistor is connected to a reference voltage -V and the base is connected through a bias circuit to the output of the override signal generator. The presence of the override signal causes the transistor to conduct thus, connecting the serially connected resistors between +V and -V. The value of the serially connected resistors are selected so that the node voltage supplies a predetermined value of control voltage to the control input of the VCO to set the predetermined frequency.

    摘要: A switching device comprising a spring pile-up assembly including a plurality of pairs of cantilevered stationary and movable contact springs secured between a pair of support members. A follower card is slidably mounted on the top portions of the support member allowing the follower to move in a plane 90 degrees to the contact springs. The tips of the movable contact springs protrude through openings in the follower card. A cam card including cam portions is slidably mounted to one of the support members perpendicular to the follower. As the cam card is moved the cams engage an edge of the follower causing it to be displaced in its plane of motion sufficiently to open a selected number of contact springs while allowing another selected number of contact springs to close.

    摘要: A magnetic latching reed relay including a single continuous control winding disposed about an encapsulated reed switch having a pair of reeds constructed of a remanent magnetic material. The reeds are normally biased in an open position. When a first pulse of current, of a certain amplitude, is applied to the control winding a magnetic flux field is generated which magnetically saturates the reed blades, producing magnetic poles of opposite polarity at the contacting ends of the reeds which overcomes the normal mechanical bias of the blades, closing the contacts. A second pulse of current of an opposite direction and of approximately half the amplitude of the first pulse is then applied to the control winding and a reverse magnetic flux field is generated which is insufficient to magnetically saturate the reed blades and the magnetic polarity established thereby being also insufficient to overcome the normal spring bias of the blades, thus allowing the blades to return to the normal or open position.

    摘要: A telephone hookswitch actuator and handset support assembly arranged to allow a telephone instrument to be used as either a desk or wall unit. The actuator is constructed of two independently pivoting members, a first hookswitch actuator member controlling the "on-hook" and "off-hook" switching and a second alternatively positionable support member. When the telephone instrument is intended to be used as a desk unit a retaining device manipulated from the exterior of the telephone is adjusted out of contact with the support member allowing the support member and actuator to act in unison. When used as a wall unit the retaining device is adjusted into contact with the support member which then retains the member outwardly extended allowing a cavity on the handset to accept the support member, supporting the handset.
