摘要： A pump rotor for displacing fluids includes a cover and a bottom part having blades. Both the bottom part and the cover are formed by injection molding of thermoplastic materials, preferably reinforced by fillers. The bottom part and the cover are joined together by welding. The walls of the bottom part and cover are sufficiently thin to replace similar metal parts and to provide maximum benefit of the skin effect resulting from the specific surface qualities of the molded material forming the bottom part and the cover. A mold for molding the bottom part and the cover is equipped with a cap which is angularly and vertically adjustable making it possible for a balancing weight to be fitted on the molded parts. The balancing weight is also angularly adjustable and has an adjustable mass.

摘要： Disclosed is a starting device for a toy motor using an ultrasonic wave signal. The starting device comprises a transmitter external to the toy which generates an ultrasonic wave signal and a receiving and starting element disposed within the toy for receiving the transmitted ultrasonic wave signal and starting the toy motor. In a preferred embodiment, the motor drives a sound reproducing device. The ultrasonic wave signal from the transmitter is received, amplified, and detected, and when the detected output reaches a predetermined level, a switching transistor forming an energization path to the motor is turned on to start the motor. Once the motor is started, a self-holding switch associated with the switching transistor causes the switching transistor to supply continuous current to the motor even when the transmission of the ultrasonic wave signal has been terminated.

摘要： In order to perform selective sound reproduction from a plurality of recorded grooves on a record disc, a stopper block for stopping a record disc at a position where starting point of the record disc is able to engage the reproduction stylus of a pickup is disposed on the reverse side of the record disc. A plurality of locking bars corresponding to the number of recorded grooves are distributed along a circle concentric with the record disc and the circle has a radius smaller than the radius of the record disc.The locking bars are urged by a flat spring having radial teeth fixed around a shaft holder for receiving the center shaft toward direction, and are normally held by the spring apart from the stopper block. The center shaft as a center of rotation of the record disc is normally biased by a spring toward retracted direction and engages the locking bars through a manipulating member. One of the locking bars urges the manipulating member affixed to the center shaft by pushing thereon against the resilient force imparted by the flat spring. In turn the center shaft pushes a sound transmitting member upward and releases stylus force applied to pickup to allow the pickup to return by a return spring to the starting point of sound reproduction. Prior to the engagement of the center shaft and the sound transmitting member, the locking bar projects into the rotational plane of the stopper block and engages with the stopper block such that the record disc is temporarily stopped.

摘要： The casing of a sound reproducing device defines the upper and lower bearings for directly receiving a shaft of a driving motor, as well as the outer shell for enclosing the rotor of the motor. This arrangement provides a motor assembly without the need for separate outer shell and separate brackets which are ordinarily indispensable with motors. The rotor hereof has a commutator being matingly electrically and slidably contractable with a pair of brushes fabricated from a metal wire. The free end of each wire comprises the brush, and the remaining portion thereof acts as a lead wire integral with the brush. The contact surfaces of the brushes and the commutator can be displaced or shifted by moving the two mating parts relative to each other for preventing defective starting due to poor electrical connection.

Based on the daily activities of the person, one or more musculoskeletal loads applied to the bone are determined. Also, a set of characteristics of the implant, such as dimension, material, geometry, and shape of the implant, is selected. Then, a numerical simulation of the implant and the bone is performed to determine a physical status of the implant under the musculoskeletal loads. Subsequently, it is determined if the physical status meets one or more of preset failure conditions. If the determination is negative, the implant is taken as an optimized implant. Otherwise, at least one of the characteristics of the implant is modified and numerical simulation of the implant and the bone is repeated until an optimized implant is obtained.

摘要： A simplified acoustic disk record playback apparatus is disclosed having a battery-powered motor driving a turn table through a belt and pulley system. The turn table is centrally mounted on a rotating shaft. Overlying the turn table is a disk record which may have a plurality of grooves starting on its periphery. The turn table is spring biased towards a tone arm and associated record pickup stylus. The tone arm pivots horizontally, parallel to the plane of the disk record, but is held vertically by an overlying speaker cone, and is spring biased to a beginning playback position. The tone arm carries a center gear locking member on that side proximal to the turn table rotating shaft. A center gear is mounted on the turntable rotating shaft coplanar with the tone arm. Located on the turn table center, or rotating, shaft beneath the center gear is a two piece can assembly which lengthens when twisted. As the tone arm reaches the end of the disk record playback, the center gear locking member locks the center gear to stop the rotation of half the cam assembly, subjecting the cam to twisting and lengthening, thereby countering the spring bias of the turn table and allowing the tone arm to return to a playback position.

摘要： A sound reproducing device is disclosed in which an index tracking portion formed on a record disc consists of a notch on the continuous flange of rotational periphery of a record disc unit. A center pin of the device is normally urged outside of a casing by a spring which also urges an index setting arm with a push button type index setting rotary knob supported on the tip end of said center pin. An index setting portion consists of a plurality of openings formed in the casing and arranged along the rotational plane of said record disc unit. The index setting arm has a resilient engaging hook on its lower tip end, the engaging hook directed toward the rotational cetner of the record disc unit. The engaging hook engages with the flange of the record disc unit where a specific index setting portion is selected by rotation of the push button type index setting knob. Pushing the index setting knob down makes the engaging hook pass through an index setting openings. The center pin keeps a speaker unit out of engagement with a pickup such that the pickup returns to the starting point of sound reproduction. The engaging hook returns through the index tracking portion when the index tracking portion comes on the engaging hook by rotational movement of the record disc unit, causing the center pin to retract so as to impart stylus pressure to the stylus by returning the speaker unit by a stylus pressure spring.

摘要： A simplified sound reproducing device having a means for preventing collision between a record disc and a sound reproduction stylus is provided. According to the device, during the time of transportation a start lever is set at a position where it has been turned, whereby the center pin is moved downwardly by an inclined face formed on the start lever so that the record disc can be normally held at a position where it is placed away form the pickup of the sound reproducing device. When it is required to use the reproducing device for the purpose of playing, the start lever is turned back to the position where it had been before the first turning for the transportation, thereby subsequent pushing down of the start lever will make the inclined face move the center pin downward so as to move the record disc away from the pickup, then, the pickup is allowed to return to its starting point of sound reproduction and energizes a motor for starting the sound reproduction again.
