摘要： A refrigeration compressor including a compressor housing, a compressor shaft rotatably positioned within the housing, a refrigerant positioned within the housing, a face seal operatively positioned between the housing and the shaft, and a lip seal operatively positioned between the housing and the shaft. The lip seal and the primary seal collectively form a seal cavity for retaining fluid adjacent to the primary seal. An inlet port is positioned adjacent to the seal cavity, and a bearing rotatably supports the shaft within the housing. The lip seal is operatively positioned between the inlet port and the bearing. A bypass channel allows fluid (e.g., oil and refrigerant) to bypass a top portion of the lip seal, thereby permitting lubrication of the bearing. The face seal includes a seal nose and a bellows operatively associated with the seal nose. The seal nose preferably includes a maximum of about 0.5 weight percent lead. For example, the seal nose can include a tin bronze alloy, such as alloy C90300.

摘要： A bearing comprising a spherical ball removably mounted in an outer socket. The ball has a bore axis, an insertion axis and are orientation axis orthogonally arranged, an outer spherical bearing surface, diametrically opposed truncations on the outer spherical bearing surface parallel to the bore axis spaced apart a first dimension and end surfaces spaced apart on the bore axis a second axial dimension. The outer socket includes a socket axis, a socket bore extending axially therethrough end portions spaced apart on the socket axis, and an annular inner raceway having a concave configuration presenting a maximum diameter between the socket end portions sufficient to rotatably receive the outer spherical bearing surface of the ball and a minimum socket bore diameter adjacent the end portions that this greater than the spherical ball first and second dimensions so that coaxial alignment of the insertion and socket axis will allow the spherical ball to be inserted into the inner raceway of the outer socket for rotation about the orientation axis to replaceably seat the spherical ball in an installed position within the inner raceway. The ball and socket bearing assembly further includes a clamp member for securing the spherical ball in anti-rotational relation to any support member on which the spherical ball is mounted.

Also, a brake disk assembly adapted to be mounted on a shaft journaled in a motor frame. Also, a friction disk adapted to be supported on a brake disk hub of a power transmission brake mechanism.

Alternatively, the guide member can include a reduced number of larger prongs to replace one or more of the stubs.

摘要： A method of producing a replaceable one piece annular outer race having an axial bore, an uninterrupted inner annular concave raceway facing into the bore and an outer surface. The method comprises the steps of applying an overlayment of filaments onto a cylindrical axially split mold assembly to form a one piece outer race substrate. The mold assembly includes first and second separable semi-cylindrical mold halves each having a semi-cylindrical convex outer mold surface, a mounting bore extending axially through the mold assembly, a removal axis normal to the mounting bore axis and a support removably mounted in the mold assembly mounting bore. A coat of hardenable liquid resin is applied to penetrate the filament overlayment substrate, after which the coated substrate is cured to form a hardened one piece outer race on the mold assembly. The cylindrical mold halves are removed from the hardened outer race to yield a single piece annular outer race. The support is removed axially from the mold mounting bore.

摘要： A chain having a plurality of block links each including longitudinally spaced apart ends each of which has a pivot pin receiving first bore therethrough of a first diameter. The chain also has a plurality of connecting links each including longitudinally spaced pivot pins mounted in the block link first bores for articulatively interconnecting the ends of adjacent block links. The pivot pins have a close tolerance fit in the first bores to form a chain that extends along a straight line of travel. The chain further has at least one flight attachment link having a flight attachment support and longitudinally spaced leading and trailing ends pivotally connected between adjacent connecting links of the chain. The leading and trailing ends of the flight attachment link each have a second pivot pin receiving bore of a second diameter sufficiently larger than the pivot pin on which it is mounted to allow only the flight attachment link or links in the chain to cant relative to the chain straight line of travel for automatic self alignment in response to force moments on the flight attachment link to minimize torsional stress imposed on the flight attachment link and its flight attachment support.
