摘要: A display case shield for protecting a display case having a frame that supports a first glazing and a second glazing that is transverse to the first glazing includes smash-resistant plastic sheet is bent to include at least one angle between a first portion that covers the first glazing and a second portion that covers the second glazing. An anchoring system secures the smash-resistant plastic sheet to the display case. In a method of protecting a display case, a linear notch is cut in a selected surface of a polycarbonate sheet so as to separate a first portion and a second portion. The polycarbonate sheet is cold bended along the linear notch. The polycarbonate sheet is secured to the display case after the cold bending step.

摘要: A soap holder device includes a holder having a first magnetic element and a second magnetic member adapted to be pressed into a soap. The holder includes a first region in which a conically shaped lip forms a suction cup, and a second portion located radially inward of the first portion and axially spaced from the first portion. The second portion is adapted to hold the first magnetic member in a radial direction by means of a wall portion and in an axial direction by means of a roof portion in a direction opposite to the first portion. The tapered lip of the first portion decreases in diameter toward the second portion. In use, the second magnetic member is detachably disposed on the roof portion of the second portion.

摘要: A frame system for securing a glazing unit to a window portal includes an elongated primary mount extrusion, an elongated mount stop extrusion, an elongated first gasket, an elongated second gasket and a structural sealant. The primary mount extrusion is secured to the window portal. A mount stop extrusion engages the primary mount extrusion with a pair of ratcheting members. The first gasket and the second gasket define a passage therebetween and the passage has a width so that the glazing unit fits therein. A structural sealant is disposed so as to affix the glazing unit to an inner upper surface of the primary mount extrusion.

摘要: In a method of making a carbon fiber, PAN (poly(acrylonitrile-co methacrylic acid)) is dissolved into a solvent to form a PAN solution. The PAN solution is extruded through a spinneret, thereby generating at least one precursor fiber. The precursor fiber is passed through a cold gelation medium, thereby causing the precursor fiber to gel. The precursor fiber is drawn to a predetermined draw ratio. The precursor fiber is continuously stabilized to form a stabilized fiber. The stabilized fiber is continuously carbonized thereby generating the carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is wound onto a spool. A carbon fiber has a fiber tensile strength in a range of 5.5 GPa to 5.83 GPa. The carbon fiber has a fiber tensile modulus in a range of 350 GPa to 375 GPa. The carbon fiber also has an effective diameter in a range of 5.1 μm to 5.2 μm.

摘要: A beverage vessel includes: a beverage container in which a beverage may be stored said beverage container having an upper opening by which beverage may be poured in and poured out of the beverage container and a wall extending from the opening to the bottom of the beverage container; a closure element adapted to be positioned in the upper opening of the beverage container; a light distribution element arranged at the closure element; and a light emitter positioned such that the light emitted by the light emitter passes at least a part of the volume of the beverage container before entering the light distribution element; wherein said closure element comprises a locking mechanism, said locking mechanism comprising at least three locking arms extending in radial direction of the beverage vessel to the beverage container, wherein each arm of the locking element comprises an elastic portion being elastic in the radial direction of the beverage vessel; the beverage container comprises at least one concave portion in the wall, said concave portion extending in radial direction of the beverage vessel; and said arms releasably engage in the concave portion in the wall for releasably locking the closure element to the beverage container.

摘要: A cockpit pressurization and oxygen warning system includes a cabin pressure input and an aircraft pressure input. A pilot interface includes a first visual indicator having a first recognizable characteristic disposed in a first position that is made visually perceptible when a first signal is asserted and a second visual indicator having a second recognizable characteristic esthetically different from the first recognizable characteristic and disposed in a second position different from the first position that is made visually perceptible when a second signal is asserted. A control circuit that is responsive to the cabin pressure input and the aircraft pressure input determines an acceptable range for the cabin altitude that corresponds to the aircraft altitude. The control circuit asserts the first signal when the cabin altitude is within the acceptable range and asserts the second signal when the cabin altitude is not within the acceptable range.
