    摘要: An orthopedic screw having a shaft and a thread ribbon is provided. The shaft includes a proximal driving end and a distal end. The thread ribbon extends around the shaft and including a base portion that is rigidly attached to the shaft and a flange portion that is resilient. The flange portion extends away from the shaft at a preset angle to form a preset outer thread diameter in a preset configuration. The flange portion extends away from the shaft at a second angle greater than the preset angle to form a second outer thread diameter greater than the preset outer thread diameter when the orthopedic screw is subjected to a pull out force.

    摘要: An example robot includes a hydraulic actuator cylinder controlling motion of a member of the robot. The hydraulic actuator cylinder comprises a piston, a first chamber, and a second chamber. A valve system controls hydraulic fluid flow between a hydraulic supply line of pressurized hydraulic fluid, the first and second chambers, and a return line. A controller may provide a first signal to the valve system so as to begin moving the piston based on a trajectory comprising moving in a forward direction, stopping, and moving in a reverse direction. The controller may provide a second signal to the valve system so as to cause the piston to override the trajectory as it moves in the forward direction and stop at a given position, and then provide a third signal to the valve system so as to resume moving the piston in the reverse direction based on the trajectory.

    摘要: A method for dynamically correcting misalignment of a vehicular camera includes fixedly disposing a camera at a vehicle and operating the camera to acquire multiple frames of image data while the vehicle is moving generally in a straight line. A plurality of sets of feature points are selected in an image frame, with each set including a first feature point and a second feature point. For each set of feature points, a motion trajectory of that set's feature points is tracked in subsequent image frames. For each tracked first and second feature points, a vanishing point is established in the image plane. Based on the established vanishing point, a vanishing line is determined in the image plane. When the vanishing line is determined to be non-horizontal in the image plane, at least one of pitch, roll or yaw of the camera is adjusted to correct rotational misalignment of the camera.

    摘要: A blood pressure monitor, particularly of the type having an inflatable cuff communicating with a pressure sensor and suitable for home use, may be calibrated by applying a sealed canister containing gas at a known pressure to a port so as to apply the known pressure to the pressure sensor, and comparing a pressure signal from the pressure sensor with the known pressure so as to determine a calibration error of the sensor and/or adjust the calibration of the sensor, e.g. by electronically adjusting the sensor. Several canisters may be used to calibrate the sensor across a range of pressures, each canister having a different known pressure. Each canister is preferably ruptured when attached to the port and is not re-usable, and may comprise an identifier such as an electronically readable identifier which is stored in a memory in association with the value of the known pressure within the canister. Temperature sensing means may be provided whereby the pressure reading is adjusted to compensate for temperature, e.g. of the gas released from the canister. The monitor may comprise means for sensing mechanical shock and alerting a user or remote monitoring personnel to provide an indication that recalibration is required.

    摘要: An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a reflective element disposed at a housing. The housing and the reflective element are tandemly and pivotally adjustable about a mounting structure mounted at an interior portion of the vehicle to provide a desired rearward field of view to a driver of the vehicle. A user input is actuatable by the driver of the vehicle. A motorized actuator is operable responsive to actuation of the user input to tilt the reflective element and the housing in tandem about a horizontal axis. Responsive to actuation of the motorized actuator responsive to the user input, the motorized actuator tandemly tilts the reflective element and the housing about the horizontal axis to orientate an outermost front surface of the reflective element more towards the driver or more away from the driver.
