    摘要： A steering column assembly is provided that includes an inner shroud portion and an outer shroud portion, the inner shroud portion extending into the outer shroud portion and including a rail. The rail includes a slot with two opposing sides, each of which has teeth. A toothed block is provided that engages with the teeth of the slot, when a clamping mechanism is actuated. The toothed block is supported by a carrier that allows the toothed block to be free to move from side-to-side when engaged with the slot, and the teeth of the slot and the toothed block are shaped such that the toothed block may engage the teeth of the slot at any position when the clamping mechanism is actuated. The teeth of a first side of the slot prevent the block from moving in a collapse direction of the assembly and the teeth of the second side of the slot permit movement in a collapse direction but apply a thrust towards the teeth of the first side. The carrier includes a biasing spring that urges the toothed block towards the first side of the slot.

    摘要： A gearbox assembly for an electric power assisted steering apparatus comprises a gearbox housing which houses a worm shaft and a gear wheel, the worm shaft being supported relative to the housing by a main bearing assembly at an end closest to the motor and by a tail bearing assembly at an end furthest from the motor. The main bearing assembly comprises an inner race and an outer race separated by bearing elements, the outer race being supported by a carrier that is supported by an axle that is in turn secured to gearbox housing, the axle defining a pivot axis for the worm shaft that is located on the side of the worm shaft closest to the wheel gear and extends in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the worm shaft and parallel to the axis of the wheel gear.

    摘要： A vehicle brake system comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling a vehicle brake arrangement, and an electric machine operating as a motor and a generator. The ECU controls valves and the electric machine so that, when a brake pedal is actuated, hydraulic fluid is supplied to a wheel brake from a master cylinder to generate a brake pressure. After a corresponding brake pressure is attained, the supply of hydraulic fluid is disabled, wherein the brake pressure effected by the hydraulic fluid is gradually dissipated, and, correspondingly, the electric machine is operated increasingly as a generator. Upon an increase of driver braking demand, hydraulic fluid is additionally supplied from the master cylinder to the wheel brake, and with decreasing vehicle speed, the electric machine is operated decreasingly as a generator, and, correspondingly, hydraulic fluid is supplied to the wheel brake from an intermediate accumulator and/or from the master cylinder.

The guide pin includes at least one slot having a member, which is formed separate from the guide pin, and disposed therein to bias the guide pin in the bore thereby offsetting the guide pin axis relative to the bore axis. The member includes a first member formed from an elastomeric material and a second member formed from a metal material, wherein the second member is configured to retain the member in the slot.

    摘要： An interior system of a vehicle includes an instrument panel substrate having a driver side, a passenger side, and a center section between the driver and passenger sides. The instrument panel substrate has an opening on the passenger side. A trim panel is mounted to the instrument panel substrate covering the opening and comprising a connector hub having a plurality of electrical connectors for mobile electronic devices. In one embodiment, at least a portion of the trim panel is releasable and pivotable after mounting in order to access a rear side of the trim panel. The trim panel may further include a cradle on the rear side to receive a printer, a paper holder on the rear side to receive and supply paper for the printer, and an elongated slot aligned with the cradle for feeding printed paper from the printer to a front side of the trim panel.
