    摘要: Disclosed herein is a data storage device. A data port transmits data between a host computer system and the data storage device. A non-volatile storage medium stores encrypted user content data and a cryptography engine connected between the data port and the storage medium uses a cryptographic key to decrypt the encrypted user content data. The access controller generates a challenge for a manager device. The challenge comprises a blinded public key of an ephemeral unlock key pair that is blinded by an unlock blinding key. The challenge further comprises the unlock blinding key in encrypted form. The access controller further provides the challenge to the device to be authorized for sending the challenge to the manager device; receives a response to the challenge; decrypts the unlock blinding key and calculates a shared secret; and upon determining that the response indicates approval of registering the device, registers the device to be authorized as an authorized device.

    摘要: Example storage medium servo patterns, data storage devices, and methods to provide servo tracks with continuously varying frequency in a data storage device are described. The data storage device may include storage media, such as magnetic disks, having servo sectors that define servo tracks, where adjacent servo tracks have continuously varying frequency as the head moves from one servo track to the next. As the head is actuated over the storage medium, a target track frequency may be determined based on the radial position of a target servo track and the channel frequency may be set to the target track frequency to follow the target servo track.

    摘要: A system and method provides for one or more of tracking of an object and providing automatic access to applications or data. Depending upon the embodiment, the system includes a personal digital key (PDK), a reader, a computing device and one or more of an auto login server and a tracking server. The PDK stores one or more profiles in memory. A reader is configured to wirelessly communicate with the PDK. The computing device is coupled to the reader and one or more of the auto login server and tracking server. The auto login server is configured to communicate with the reader and launches one or more applications associated with a user name identified by a profile received from the PDK. The tracking server is configured to communicate with the reader and to track and log information received from the PDK associated with the object.
