摘要: Composite pressurizable structures overwound with fibers or braided bundles of fibers are described. The pressurizable structures comprise one or more axial sections which themselves comprise both concave and convex surfaces. The shape characteristics are related to geodesic as well as to non-geodesic trajectories of the fibers. Axial sections of the pressurizable structures can be rotated, expanded, or bended with respect to their longitudinal axis. Such pressurizable structures may be used in pressure vessels, flexible pipelines, spring elements, robotic actuators, adaptive buildings among other uses. Manufacturing techniques facilitated by the present structures allow for the construction of very large structures.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a motion simulator having a deck and a number of deck-supporting legs (2) that are pivotally connected with the deck in first pivot points (4). The legs are actively and continuously length-adjustable, such that the deck is capable of describing a motion envelope comprising all desired deck positions, wherein a leg envelope is determined for each leg within which the possible positions of the relevant leg are located, whereafter the common surrounding space of the legs, and in particular the interspace included between the leg envelopes is determined. A shell is then designed that at least carries the deck, which shell defines an inner space extending at least partly within the interspace between the legs (2) defined by the leg envelopes, in such a manner that in each position of the simulator, the legs are clear of the shell (1).

摘要: The invention relates to composite pressurizable structures which are overwound with fibres or are braided. The pressurizable structures comprise axial sections which in turn comprise both concave and convex surfaces. The shape characteristics are related to geodesic as well as non-geodesic trajectories in regard of the fibres. Axial sections of the pressurizable structures can be rotated, expanded or bended with respect to the longitudinal axis of the pressurizable structure. Examples of uses of the pressurizable structure relate to pressure vessels and flexible pipelines, spring elements, robotic actuators and adaptable buildings. In another aspect, the invention relates to a method of production by means of braiding, which in principle allows for the construction of very large structures.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of making a foamable film of at least one thermoplastic resin with at least one liquid blowing agent incorporated therein, said method comprising forming the thermoplastic resin and a liquid swelling agent for the thermoplastic resin into a layer, contacting the said layer with the liquid blowing agent and replacing at least part of the swelling agent in the resin by the liquid blowing agent.

摘要: A wheel-shaped pressure-resistant vessel for storing gaseous, liquid or liquefied fuel and which has a substantially rigid shape. Specifically, the vessel contains a substantially continuous shell of a fiber-reinforced resin. The shell has a central opening, an inner lining and an axial reinforcement member. The shell has a substantial mechanical equilibrium shape such that the axial member is situated in a central opening. The axial member contains an inner member and two end plates, with each of the end plates fixing the shell to the inner member. Further, the axial member is attached, through both end plates, to the shell such that outer surfaces of the shell are pulled towards each other, thus reinforcing the vessel and maintaining the vessel, even while it is pressurized, in its wheel-like shape.

摘要: A geometrically-shaped bag for lifting and positioning objects has a layer of fluid impermeable, non-porous material forming an expandable bladder having opposite ends and a first layer of wound strands enclosing the expandable bladder. A method of manufacturing the bag comprises the steps of providing a geometrically-shaped mold member having an axis of rotation extending through opposite ends of the mold member, coating the mold member with fluid impermeable, non-porous material to form an expandable bladder having opposite ends, winding a first layer of strands onto the mold member over the expandable bladder, and removing the mold member from the expandable bag.

摘要: Self-supporting refrigerated truck comprising a floor, two side walls, a front bulkhead and a roof. The components are all constructed as sandwich panels. The connection between the rear axle construction of the refrigerated truck and the front is not provided with longitudinal beams. The function of the chassis is taken over by the side walls, which are capable of absorbing loads because the skin and sandwich panels of the side walls have appreciable strength and a fill of appreciable compressive strength is also provided. In order to transmit forces into the side walls it is proposed to accommodate the vertically extending trusses in the side walls, which trusses are joined to cross-members of the rear axle construction which extend over the entire width. The fixing for the floor and each side wall comprises a section which has four flanges, which preferably extend perpendicularly, with a first flange close to the inner limit of the side wall, a second flange close to the top of the floor, a third flange as a continuation of the second flange and extending in the thickness of the side wall and a fourth flange comprising a continuation of the first flange in the floor or the boundary between floor and side wall.
