    摘要: A device for measuring a characteristic reading distance of an individual, includes a measurement support carrying at least one ultrasound emitter member and at least one ultrasound receiver member, at least one of these members, referred to as a main measurement member, possessing a measurement axis on which emission or reception by the main measurement member is privileged, and being suitable for emitting or receiving ultrasound propagating in a measurement cone centered on its measurement axis. The device further includes an electronic processor unit adapted, as a function of the ultrasound signal received by the receiver member, to deliver a signal representative of the distance between the measurement support and an eyeglass frame worn by the individual's head, and to deduce therefrom the characteristic reading distance, and elements to verify that the eyeglass frame is situated at least in part in the measurement cone of the main measurement member.

    摘要: The shaper device for shaping an ophthalmic lens comprises a blocking support on a blocking axis, a shaper tool, an electronic or computer unit for controlling the position of said shaper tool, and a man/machine interface connected to said electronic or computer unit, and comprising a display screen (253) and input means for inputting numerical values. The electronic or computer unit is adapted to display on said display screen at least three so-called “offset” fields (301-304) for inputting numerical values via said input means, the fields being displayed simultaneously or in succession, then for generating a control setpoint for said shaper tool relative to said blocking support, for shaping the ophthalmic lens by forming an engagement ridge on its edge face, the ridge presenting, at each axial section of the ophthalmic lens, a profile having front and rear ends that present respective first and second distances from the blocking axis, with the difference between said distances being a so-called “offset” function that is not entirely uniform around the edge face of the ophthalmic lens, and that depends on the numerical values input in each of the offset fields.

The method includes a determination step of determining at least one singular portion (Z1-Z12) of the second longitudinal profile as a function of the orientation parameter. During the edging step, the engagement ridge is locally pared away in the singular portion.

The step for adjusting the final contour inside the initial contour involves an angular orientation relative to the initial contour with regard to the final contour around the center point according to an angular position of adjustment in order to prevent or reduce the amount by which the final contour exceeds the initial contour of the lens.
