摘要: Implementations of the present disclosure provide a fastener including a tip portion, a proximal portion, an advancement mechanism and an expandable member. The tip portion has a first surface. The proximal portion is configured for coupling to the tip portion and has a second surface. The mechanism advances the first surface toward the second surface. The expandable member includes a first end abutting the first surface of the tip portion and a second end abutting the second surface of the proximal portion. Advancement of the two surfaces toward each other advances the first end of the expandable member toward the second end of the expandable member. The expandable member is configured to expand in response to the advancement. At least one of the ends of the expandable member is a free end extending under and configured to rotate with respect to an abutting one of the first or second surfaces.

摘要: Arcuate fixation members with varying configurations and/or features are provided, along with additional components for use therewith in provided intervertebral implants. The arcuate fixation members may be of different lengths, cross sectional geometries, and/or cross sectional areas. Applications of intervertebral implants utilizing arcuate fixation members are particularly suitable when a linear line-of-approach for delivering fixation members is undesirable.

摘要: The method and device serve to continuously locate vehicles (LB) which contain a computer (IR) connected to a path data measuring unit which emits a measured value corresponding to the distance covered. The computer (IR) is further connected to a path data memory (CD) in which the route network to be traveled, the target stopping positions s of bus stops (H) with their mutual distances D and the stopping ranges d associated with the stops (H) are stored. On the basis of the data stored and at least one accuracy factor g corresponding to the path length measurement, the computer (IR) establishes the capture range f.sub.y of a stop (H.sub.y) on the traffic path and corrects the measured value w as soon as the vehicle (LB) stops and the measured value w lies in the dynamically determined capture range f.sub.y.
