摘要： Health-related devices often record and represent health-related information describing a patient in many manners, and the disparities and variance among such representations may interfere with the accuracy of a recorded electronic medical record and with communication among healthcare providers. These aspects of health information representation and communication may be facilitated according to several techniques, such as by storing health information according to a standardized health information hierarchical classification scheme, and by presenting such information to healthcare providers and the user by displaying one or more icons of predominantly pictorial form that describe the health information in a language- and literacy-independent manner. Variations of these techniques relate to the types of devices so presented, the storage of the detected health data with the representation, and the annotation of the data by the individual or healthcare providers that becomes part of the electronic medical record.

The device may additionally display text, play audio, vibrate, send text messages to other devices, etc. The device may accept input from the individual and/or caregiver regarding the medication instructions or the medication events. The device may also contain the medication, control access and dosing of the medication, and administer the medication to the individual. The device may also communicate information regarding the medication regimen to the caregiver, such as prescription renewal requests. This device and method may improve the accuracy and thoroughness of compliance and communication regarding the medication regimen.

摘要： In healthcare scenarios, medication may be provided to an individual by a caregiver delivering a prescription to the individual or to a medication source (e.g., a pharmacist), the medication source providing the medication to the individual in a simple container, and the individual self-managing the medication. However, many opportunities for miscommunication, misunderstanding, or simple errors may arise in these human interactions, resulting in noncompliance with the medication regimen. Instead, the caregiver may provide the medication regimen to the medication source, who may (possibly with the assistance of automated processes) insert the medication into a medication reminder device that regulates the administration of medication doses according to the medication regimen, and send the medication reminder device to the individual. By reducing human involvement (particularly the self-management of the medication regimen by the individual), these processes may improve compliance with the medication regimen and reduce the incidence of medication errors.

A service task facilitator device may be devised that facilitates the performance of service tasks by such agents in a convenient manner. A service task coordinating system may also be devised for coordinating the performance of service tasks among such agents through the administration of such service task facilitator devices. The service task facilitator devices and coordinating system communicate with users (including agents) through a lexicon of icons of predominantly pictorial form chosen to describe the nature and details of the service tasks within the service industry. The use of a lexicon of pictorial icons facilitates such communication in an easily recognizable and language-independent manner.

摘要： A medication reminder device may be programmed with a set of medication instructions comprising a medication regimen to be presented to an individual in order to promote compliance with a medication regimen, and may also include one or more medication chambers, each containing the medication doses of medications specified by a medication instruction. However, compliance with the medication regimen may nevertheless be reduced if the individual accesses a medication chamber in contravention of the medication regimen (e.g., due to an accident, a misunderstanding, an intentional misuse of the medication, or theft). Compliance with the medication regimen may be further improved by including a medication chamber lock that restricts access to a medication chamber, and a medication chamber lock controller that locks or unlocks the medication chamber lock in order to permit or restrict access to the medication doses of the medication contained therein according to the medication instructions.

摘要： Correlational health diagnosis techniques are disclosed for diagnosing a health state of an individual based on one or more health indicators, including systems and methods related thereto. The techniques involve a diagnostic database comprising at least one correlationally weighted relationship between a health indicator and a health diagnosis. The technique involves collecting at least one health indicator pertaining to the health-state of the individual, and the health indicators may be displayed as icons of predominantly pictorial form. Once at least one health indicator has been collected, the techniques involve summing the correlational weights of each health diagnosis in the diagnostic database for each collected health indicator, and selecting and outputting at least one health diagnosis having the greatest aggregate diagnostic weight. The techniques may also involve selecting one or more health treatments related to each selected health diagnosis. Each selected health diagnosis and selected health treatment may also be outputted as an icon of predominantly pictorial form for easy recognition in a standardized, language-neutral manner.
