Abstract:
Provided is a modular light fixture. The device includes a light shroud, a light fixture base having a first cylindrical housing, a second cylindrical housing, a quick disconnect with a pair of external pins, and a light fixture base supporting attachment that includes a pair of P-shaped channels. The shroud attaches to the first cylindrical housing, and the base attachment attaches to the base via the P-shaped channels and the first and second external pins. The shroud and base attachments can be interchanged as desired for use as a hanging light, an up light, a down light, a well light, a path light, a wash light, or any combination thereof. The device allows for quick and easy conversion of lights from one style to another without requiring an entirely new fixture, enables simple repairs, and lessens the number of items required to be stocked by an installer.
Abstract:
A bulb adaptor is provided which includes a mounting housing, a rotating mechanism, a first connecting member and a second connecting member. The mounting is provided with threads. The first connecting member includes a convex first live contact part and two first metal connecting parts. The second connecting member includes a convex second live contact part, a neutral contact part and two second metal connecting parts. The second connecting member is arranged crosswise with the first connecting member. The rotating mechanism includes a rotating member and a convex part. The convex part has a first position and a second position. The first position is where the convex part is in electrical contact with the two first metal connecting parts, and the second position is where the convex part is in electrical contact with the two second metal connecting parts. The rotating member is slidably connected with the mounting housing.
Abstract:
A plastic lampholder with a thermostat includes a housing, a plastic bracket, a plastic threaded ring, a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a thermostat and a top cover and is installed to a downlight. The lampholder has two slots for plugging two electrodes of a power line by a bare line section, so that a power source is introduced to the lampholder. Both of the plastic bracket and housing of the lampholder are made of a plastic material and integrally formed, and the plastic threaded ring of the lampholder is integrally formed in the housing. Power is conducted through a thermostat to prevent the lampholder from burning by high temperatures.
Abstract:
A lamp socket adapter includes a main body, a sleeve disposed outside of the main body, and a center electrode disposed at the rear end of the main body, in which a front end of the main body is provided with an insulating plug, the insulating plug has a through hole, the through hole is connected to a cavity of the main body, a first electrode sheet and a second electrode sheet each having a front end disposed in the through hole are arranged in the cavity, the rear end of the first electrode sheet is electrically connected to the center electrode, and the rear end of the second electrode sheet is electrically connected to the sleeve. Therefore, the lamp socket adapter of the present disclosure has the advantages of saving material costs, compact structure, and facilitating the fixing, mounting and replacement of a lamp bulb.
Abstract:
A bulb socket includes a socket body in which a bulb is mounted, an earth terminal, a pair of terminal fittings for making elastic contact with a contact point of the bulb, and packing 6 with which a gap between the socket body and an attachment part of the socket body is sealed. One end of the socket body is provided with a mounting port of the bulb. The earth terminal and the terminal fittings are attached to the inside of the mounting port. The terminal fitting includes a body, a leg part linearly extending from one end of the body, and a spring part extending from the other end of the body in a meandering shape. The spring part includes four bent parts. Bending angles of the bent parts are equal.
Abstract:
A central terminal (40) is provided in the central mount (9) of the plugging cavity (4) for contact with the plug terminal (85) of the lamp plug (B). An outer terminal (50) and a check terminal (70) are provided in the outer mount (10A) and the check mount (10B), respectively, for contact with the annular contact (88) on the side wall of the lamp plug (B).
Abstract:
The press-fit section 31 is made up of a lance member 33 for engagement with the latch apertures 26a and 29b of terminal legs 26 and 29 of central and peripheral terminals 3 and 4 and a press-fit portion 36 formed by a pair of linear protrusions 34L and 34R and a pair of pressdown pieces 35L and 35R so that by engaging the lance member 33 with the latch apertures 26a and 29b and holding the terminal legs 26 and 29 between the pressdown pieces 35L and 35R and the linear protrusions 34L and 34R, the terminal leges 26 and 29 are connected to the press-fit terminal 5 with the crimping section 30 crimped on an electrical wire 39.
Abstract:
A lamp socket for supporting an HID lamp includes a hollow casing having a lamp mounting opening defined at one end and the opposite end closed; an electrode carrier member disposed inside the casing; a center electrode disposedon the electrode carrier member at a location coaxial with an axis perpendicular to a plane of the lamp mounting opening and engageable with a center contact point in a mouthpiece of a lamp to be received in the lamp socket; a peripheral electrode disposed on the electrode carrier member at a location offset laterally from the center electrode and also from the axis for engagement a peripheral contact point in the mouthpiece of the lamp; an electrode shielding member disposed within the casing for movement between projected and retracted positions; and a coil spring for biasing the electrode shielding member to the projected position and operable to permit the electrode shielding member to move towards the retracted position against a biasing force thereof in response to insertion of the lamp mouthpiece into the lamp mounting opening. The electrode shielding member when in the retracted position permits the center and peripheral electrodes to be electrically engaged with the center and peripheral contact points in the lamp mouthpiece when the electrode shielding member is moved to the retracted position, but the electrode shielding member when in the projected position substantially conceals the center and peripheral electrodes.
Abstract:
A circuit board has a socket opening for a twist-in lamp bordered by a pair of arcuate conductors. The circuit board is configured to define a socket for a bi-pin lamp located concentrically within the opening and supported by bridges across the opening. The bridges carry conductors for the bi-pin lamp. The bridges are frangible to allow the socket for the bi-pin lamp to be removed. When a bi-pin lamp fails in service it is removed along with its socket and a twist-in lamp is installed in the remaining socket.
Abstract:
An electric bulb socket to which an electric bulb having an electrode on the bottom of its cylindrical base is attached includes a cylindrical socket housing having an open end through which the base of the electric bulb is inserted there into and a bottom. A spring support is accommodated in the socket housing so as to face the bottom of the base of the electric bulb, the spring support having an electric supply side electrode abutting against the electrode of the electric bulb. A coil spring is mounted in the socket housing so as to be located outside the spring support for urging the spring support so that it is raised toward the open end of the socket housing. The coil spring is disposed so as to be in parallel with the base of the electric bulb inserted into the socket housing. The length of the socket housing required for accommodating the coil spring can be reduced.
